Trailer is unreal mate.. and was a great laugh. Hopefully doing something very similar soon… keep the trailer builds coming 👍

Cheers mate. Good luck with your build. Hopefully it goes a bit smoother 👍👍😊

@@TheShedSesh any chance you know the weight of the trailer?
@TheShedSesh2 жыл бұрын
@@TheCotters hey mate, not specifically. As I mentioned in the vid, you could easily go 2mm instead of the 3mm steel to make it lighter but as it stands I can move it around pretty easily by myself. I’d weigh it for ya but got nothing to weigh it with haha.

Hey mate. Would it be too much to ask for the plans or dimensions of your bottom under-tub parts? Mine has a canopy and it's VERY heavy and I cannot flip it over to measure it
@TheShedSesh Жыл бұрын
I can mate but might take a few days to get. Of course I never wrote them down haha. You after the bolt hole locations? Spring hanger locations etc? Anything else?
@camo8768 Жыл бұрын
@@TheShedSesh Yes please mate, width and length, bolt hole locations, hanger locations, and anything you'd be willing to add for a young player. I've never done anything like this before and I'd be so grateful.

Hey mate, love it, just got the tub off my Ute and wanna do the same thing. How did you go with registering it if you did? Thanks mate

Awesome mate. Hope I’ve given you some useful pointers on what to do or what not to do haha.

Thanks for the vid. I have a BA ute and I was thinking about tub removal and putting a tray on, but liked the idea of a tub trailer since no one is doing them these days and scrapping the tub seemed wasteful. But I had no idea what to do about trailer frames, suspension or axles so your vid was very helpful for me to understand some key points. By the way nice holden coupe in the background?. LE or HQ monaro?

In the early '80s, a wife and 1 yo child. My wife had 180B SSS and I had an HR panel van that turned eyes. My employment sent us around the state. At one town the TrashnTreasure type shed had an HR ute tray removed and already welded with A-framing ready to be towed. The wife wouldn't let me buy it as we were low income. I could have rebelled. Good opportunity lost.

Mate the 180B and the HR are gold now a days. If we only new what we know now 😉 The HR Ute tray would have looked good behind the HR Van, that’s for sure!

Nice work man.. Do you know what the tub itself weighs?
@TheShedSesh2 жыл бұрын
Hey mate. Nah, no idea. Relatively light. I can move it around on a trolly by myself. If that helps haha.

This is going to be a fun project - also has your shed grown?
@TheShedSesh2 жыл бұрын
Haha. Shed is the same but the start of the video (a couple of years ago) I was welding in the front shed. That is now the woodwork shed. Second half of the video was in the back shed ;) Spoilt for choice haha :)
