I love this trailer. I want to build one of these for myself. I would probably have an articulated hitch on the front and put a 50mm ID drawbar all the way though to the back have have a hitch receiver as a recovery point. I would probably then go overboard and install a Drawer Fridge in one of the toolboxes and a dual battery setup with compressor on the opposite side... My one question is regarding the Compliance Plate. Doesn't that specify the tyre size on most trailers? Upgrading a domestic utility trailer to a Off-road trailer may get you in trouble with the DOT/ RTA / VicRoads.

Nice design but I feel spring's are too close together ( although by the looks 750kg ) maybe causing roll when laden. I realise that you changed your design "on the hop" after you had already built the frame. If it rolls you may have a trailer with a sway bar.

Great video mate. I'm trying to build my own trailer too and am a beginner welder. Just wondering if 40x40x3 tubing would be ok to use for a trailer build. I've purchased a full axle, springs, hub kit that is rated to 1400kg. Any help tricks tips would be very much appreciated. Love the tip on cutting a grove where your going to weld to make sure your weld will penetrate and be strong enough. Cheers mate
