Last video in this series before I disappear for a while putting the carrier together and applying the finishing touches to all of the drones that I've left unpolished.

You might want an ACB to switch thump/pierce for small targets. A frontal PAC your size will one shot anything airborne that isn't a thruster craft (including itself). While that's not it's purpose it'll only cost a few block spaces. I say this yet haven't done it for most the PAC's I use.

I’ll go ahead and do this. It won’t be able to hit small craft, but it will be worth it against some mid sized ones.

Efficiency and redundancy tend to conflict a bit. You don't want a lucky hit to disable a craft, but you also don't want to waste materials on components that aren't fully utilized until the craft is damaged. How much effort do you generally put into redundancy?

I don’t make small craft very redundant. They just die if they get hit hard regardless. It makes sense for larger craft since breaking large systems into multiple independent ones adds very little to the cost.

Do you have a good video on steam and fuel engines? I tend to use the harmony prefab for fuel engines and no clue on getting a steam engine that doeasnt eat resources faster than is reasonable.

Check the workshop for engine platforms

I don’t have a video for it since I don’t know them well enough to put a video together without too many errors. I do build my own steam engines, though. As for fuel, there isn’t really anything wrong with the prefabs but I’d recommend using the one I have on the fifth season if efficiency is more important than space. Otherwise, the injector prefab is a good choice.
