I ended up playing this with just my Ashes-compliant vehicles, true they still have planar shields, but I think being at a 50% volume disadvantage of similar cost craft is enough of a setback that it is fair.

The LAMS will be released with the mission, but it has not been implemented yet. My apologies! But it's a very powerful defense system and we didn't want to make it available right away. Looking forward to your next post. Thanks for playing, from a development team representative.

You may enjoy advanced wars by web, there's actually a decent-sized community which still plays the games and a pretty wild metagame and competition to be had with them ^^ I actually built a whole bunch of adv. wars craft that I need to integrate into ashes and release as a CC at some point still...
