By the way myself reliance did an addition last year maybe you should watch his to see how to it the right way. Cool cabin but the name / content copying thing is so not cool. Plus you are using modern tools where shawn James does not. At the very least by almost completely stealing his name and content you should permanently have his channel linked in the comments!!!!!!!!!

This channel will approach self reliance from a modern perspective. and will focus on various build projects using modern amenities, and tools to build a completely self reliant lifestyle. I will cover a big variety of topics, from construction to meat smoking, and everything in between! "Self-Reliance" is an 1841 essay written by American transcendentalist philosopher and essayist Ralph Waldo Emerson. It contains the most thorough statement of one of Emerson's recurrent themes: the need for each individual to avoid conformity and false consistency, and follow his own instincts and ideas.

As an idea to help people understand 'managed forests' you could clear a decent area, let some wood rot for the inverts and see what starts to grow, new trees or wild flowers it all adds to what we want, a balance. People bang on about 'oh you're cutting down trees' show them the benefits. Keep up the great work =)

I had seen one of those...chicken tractors? I have forgotten, already, what you called it. I saw one used on a television reality show years ago with the third generation of homesteaders out in Alaska. The ground was not really barren before but the garden aaas a prolific producer a year after the coop had been over their garden area. The produce was large, but i believe that is typical in alaska because the sun is out 22 of every 24 hours. There was a lot more of it after. I think it is a really nice idea and one i wish i had known when i had my own place in the high desert mountains of New Mexico. You are so far north that i would not hazard to guess but the chickens are quite large enough to forage in an area where i come from. And where i am. Cool beans!! I like the transparent panels when you use them like skylights, as you did. It completely changes the light and usefulness of the area it covers. You probably said and it fell out of my ear but why did you decide to add the overhang? To make use of the lumber and....? Great video! Thanks!
