BTW, for anyone curious, you can calculate the distance from the bridge any fret should be with this: scale length/2^(x/12). X is the fret number. Also, you can subtract this result from the scale length to get the distance from the nut. For example, on a 25.5 inch scale guitar, to find the first fret, just type into the calculator 25.5/2^(1/12), and it's about 24.07 inches away from the bridge or 1.43 away from the nut. Anyway, great video!

I was also cringing at pretty much every step but also thought they were creative coming at certain things such as gluing the two pieces of oak (LOL) together for the body or the angled frets LMAO I never thought of that one ☝️my best advice to any new Luthier would be (other than get some formal training) measure three times cut once. How about that nut LOL my god 😂 laughed so hard but totally an easy trick to getting that measurement perfect every time

I mean I also went a few years without knowing what a truss rod was. I played an SG when I started and never knew until I took it in for a repair and the guy showed me how to remove the cover and adjust it

Had my Gibson SG for 15 years, never had to adjust the truss rod since I got it. Come to think of it... I've only had to adjust 1 of my guitars to make it playable.

The wiring in a guitar is literally as simple of a circuit you can get. It's basically just a potentiometer, probably 10k ohms
