It's honestly amazing how Rob always manages to find some musicality with any instrument no matter his actual proficiency with it.

Being able to vary the direction of the spin, in addition to the speed would be interesting. Varying the string count and note grouping would be interesting too. This project has allot more to explore

I tried it for hours and hours, I got not one bloody sound out of it. So I throw my chain saw away. Maybe it works better on the circular saw, will try it tomorrow 😁. Who the heck had at first the idea to take a violine bow to play on a saw?!? However, thanks for it.

Sorry to be that guy, but that stuff you’re hearing with the F natural and chromatic stuff is called “the blues”…

It sounds very orchestral. Like rock played by an orchestra. I thought I hated it but paused the video and came back and I was like whoa that’s pretty interesting.

Can you use a pressure regulated foot petal to control the speed of the rotation to give you control over bpm
@leechion293314 сағат бұрын
I think maybe if you had it spinning in the opposite direction, you might be able to play it a little better, as it would follow your hand on the fret board, not stubbing your finger back
@leechion293314 сағат бұрын
I think if you reverse the polarity it should be a little easier to play. After seeing this being played I think I know what would help make it a little better.

Rob, you say you never heard about 'blessings' from an instrument by playing one particular song, but I'd like to make the case for guitar with 'Smoke on the Water'!

Careful you can break a nail with that thing. What if it spun the opposite way
@aggonzalezdc20 сағат бұрын
Ok I think you need a fretboard that spins under the strings. So you're staying on the same strings but the fretboard is going to be giving it some cool sound.
