Building an Emergency Shelter in Alaska

Last year, after getting dropped off by float plane to a remote fly fishing stream, bad weather moved in. We got word that the pilot couldn’t pick us up and we needed to prepare to spend the night. We had very few survival tools with us and the landscape was bleak. Almost no firewood or trees. I put all of my ‪@SurvivormanLesStroud‬ knowledge to use and came up with a pretty decent shelter. In the end our pilot was able to sneak in and rescue us. Had he not, we would have spent at least 2 days out there.
