That is a great idea but I'm not sure if it's possible as the yard owns the scrap pieces and I'm sure they sell to be recycled. 😊 But let's see if we can ask them for some of it. 🥰

The cut outs are called scuppers btw .. so glad to see you are doing well..young lady 🧙🏻♂️🇬🇧 There's a S. African guy talking about having a cat built by the same design company as Nahoa ..and Delos. I pointed him in your direction to discuss the use of sprayed cork and cork decking as a greener form of preventing condensation and controlling heat transfer on an Al. hulls deck as well as safety and comfort under foot. There's a lot of welding craft in the construction of these hulls.. I wonder how they worked it all out.🤔

G'day Crew, I haven't watched you guys for quite a while now , (never missed an episode of your last rebuild ) but, I see you are undertaking a "NEW BUILD" now . Being as this work interests me very much I had to watch. Behold , what do I find . The lovely Roberta is pregnant , naturally this deserves the BIGGEST CONGRATULATIONS.... to you both , so fantastic guys . Even Duca seem a little calmer than his usuall excitable self . It shows how proud you both are with this beautiful blessing . Naturally I hit the sub button again , so the journey starts all over again ,but from the very start this time with a COMPLETE BUILD . But best of all , now there will soon be three of you ,how cool is that . Best wishes to you guys , especially to the soon to be " new crew member" Respect....!

Some terms: The holes in the toe rail are “Scuppers". The buklhead welds are cut to relieve “residual stress” from the partialy finished hull.

Duca - excellent presentation of how the shape of the bottom plates are affected by welding. And the aluminum plates are about 1/2" thick compared to the thickness of the paper being, well, paper thin. Being able to actually see rather than to try to form a mental picture of the process - just another "Duca Talk" presentation, giving competition to the "Ted Talk" as award winner of the Month. And now I have seen three different methods of building an aluminum boat, Odd Life Crafting, Distant Shores, and Sailing Into Freedom. :¬) Webhead USA

Parabéns também pelo crescimento da família…🙏👏…sorry but my english is kind “Me Tarzan you Jane”…lol

Great to see some boat build progress. Totally different technique to sailing into freedom build. Is the forefoot going to be flat?
@OddLifeCrafting3 ай бұрын
To be honest I don't know the exact meaning of forefoot. If you refer to the lower part of the bow it is composed of the chines, one bottom one in a "triangles" format and both side chines. Exactly like Odd our old boat and exactly as shown on this episode. It is already almost in the exact shape there is one tiny deformation that will be "fixed" in next weeks video or the one after. But yes, the bottom is flat with twin keels with bulbs.

Is that all they’ve done how many weeks is that or should I say months I seriously would be disappointed in the progress
@OddLifeCrafting3 ай бұрын
They didn't work on our boat for weeks as they are short on welders. This was done in between them working in another boat that has already left the yard now. After this point (shown in this video) we have two full time welders in our boat and things started to move faster. We will show more progress in next weeks video. Also this is the first time they build this design, so some tasks take longer then it will probably take on hull number two. 😅

You should have her around loud noises while the baby is in the belly! It's good for the baby to be used to loud stuff so when the baby is born nothing bothers it and it won't scream or cry. Alos sleep all night and you can do whatever you want to in the house or wherever your at. We went boating, side by side riding ,worked on the house while my old lady was pregnant. Next day we got home from hospital we worked on the back patio cutting wood , building a deck and my son didn't give a crap, slept right through it! Heck my sold lady was running a straw blowing machine 8 months pregnant while we redid the yard. Get your old lady busting her butt the baby will be just fine
