Truly amazing, as a 73 year old who started in the family boat building business, this episode has most assuredly gave us the modern building technique's of SIRIUS YACHTS. We all thank Torsten so much for his competence and kindly tour. You have a tremendous project ahead Ducca! We all are praying the baby is well.

Sirius is definitely one of my favourite boats! So exited that you got to visit there! Btw. I've also got some tips from them. Eventually decided to go with double keels after I asked their experience with them. Nice people! And thanks!

Roberta and Duca you are so lucky you get to look over so many boat construction companies, I know you have planed it so you can get ideas for your own boat but it would be awesome to have a guided tour through these places, plus you share these companies with us so we can dream of owning one of these boats ourselves, best wishes from Tasmania Australia 🇦🇺

Have you tried the new white batteries for GoPro? They seem to have less overheating issues. For your big camera, they sell fans for some models that you can clip on at the back (if your screen folds out) to keep the battery cool.

Look to boat designs by Jenneau. Very modern with every conceivable space trick and installation and maintenance need considered. This yard is excellent in quality - but traditional design. Not convinced its best.

Fantastic video. I would have happily watched another 40 minutes of shop tour. Ever since I first heard of Sirius when Ran toured one, I have always said that if I win the lottery, the first purchase with be a Sirius 35DS.

Sirius is going to be around for a very long time. Quality does matter for any company, but Sirius seems to make sure that everything has been thought of from experience. Nice tour and Robert, you look big and very healthy. Duca must be very proud and happy.

You say that you want to "...build a boat from scratch." From scratch is something you really need to think about. I would STRONGLY suggest that you have a cabinet shop build your interior furniture. Your old boat, Odd, was already built and you didn't need to build each drawer, door, and countertop. I urge you to consider getting professionals to make the joinery. You will have lots to do just running the systems. With the equipment and expertise you have there is no way you can achieve the build quality you've see at Sirius.

I our only propose was to have a boat in the end we would totally agree with you, but that is not our only goal. We have two goals, one is to have a boat to live and travel on it but we also have the goal of enjoying the process, to take the tame to learn new skills and experiment. In our humble opinion there is something really special on learning new skills, putting hours and hours into getting the skill better and then the joy of seeing the result. For us there is no price on that that for us is pure living, pure joy. Also in this we hopefully can afford to finish the boat as we don't have money to pay a boat up front. By building it in our own speed we can make money as we go. Sorry for such a messy un-organized answer. Oh and we will have a muuuch better shop for that with professional tools and more space. More about that soon. 🥰

Thoroughly enjoyed all the amazing details used by Sirius in their ship building process. To me the process was thought thru using common sense - they build incredible sailboats.
