Building an INSANE Mini-ITX PC - (7800x3D, NR200P v2)

I've built the most powerful PC I've ever had, and it also happens to be the smallest. Watch me struggle through the building process. Hopefully this will help you avoid the same mistakes I've made. Great well formatted video. I just built something like my 9th personal gaming PC. So I've been in the KZbin algo trenches being recommended infinite videos like this from very low sub count creators building or upgrading PC's. I've probably watched 100 of them in the last week during work and this one is by far the most well put together. You're well spoken and everything is quality. It's a difficult space to be in unless you have infinite money to spend on tech/components to make more videos, but hopefully you find some ways to push out some more good content. Good luck man!

Pretty sure that AIO radiator is thicker than normal AIO rads.

Arctic AIO radiator is actually thicker than others so that 280mm AIO does not fit in NR200P V2

which direction is better to set the air flow? suck it in from the top through the AIO and blow it out from the bottom? Can it be the other way around, suck it in through the dock and blow it out through Aio?

I just built a pc with this cpu and the 360 version of this aio if you end up having any issues with temps look into undervolting and pbo2 settings for this cpu really helps with temps and can help with performance. P.s. that cooler mount on the cpu was the scariest part of the whole build because i had one hell of a time getting those screws to seat in the mount

Good job! I just bought the NR200P V2 tonight. I have built quite a few PC's, but your insights and well documented process will save me a lot of time- stress too! Thanks!👍 I think you are right about not using the glass side panel. One thing I may do different is have the AIO cooler fans and bottom fans all blowing in with all the hot air exiting out the sides- I have a to be overclocked, hot running Intel i9 10850K. BTW fans can move more cold air than they can hot air. The mesh side panels go all the way up and are very porous, so the heated air should exit just fine.🤔😀

Thanks so much! Let me know how that fan orientation works for you. I saw a video breaking down the fan options for this case, and it seemed using them both as exhaust provided the best thermals, but I'd be curious to see how it goes for you. :)

Hey Tony, I finished my build with the NRP200P V2. I went with: Auros 590i Ultra, 32GB Patriot Viper, i9 10850k, Aspergame 850w SFX, Asus Dual RTX 3060 V2 OC 12GB, Crucial P3 4TB (boot), 860 Evo SATA 2TB, Two 3.5" HGST 6TB Helium Enterprise, ALphacool Eisbaer LT240 Aurora, and Three Noctua NF-F12 iPPC-2000 PWM fans. I did end up using two of the fans blowing through the radiator into the case (I ditched the Alphacool fans). I also have the 3rd fan blowing into the case from directly under the GPU. I mounted one of the 3.5" drives next to the fan on the bottom. The 2nd 3.5" drive is mounted on the SFX PSU Cage. I put the 2TB 860 EVO in a SATA 2.5" enclosure and mounted it on the front. Just like you experienced and described so well, I had to build, de-build, re-build EVERYTHING multiple times before I figured out the exact installation order of components that allowed me to get everything in and connected as well! It is kind of a hard case to build in because of having to figure out the right installation step-by-step when you want to pack the Case to the max! I went with the fans all blowing in so that I would have Positive Case Air Pressure; because, I live out in the wild in a very high dust area. Also, I went with the Alphacool Eisbaer LT240 due to it having a full copper radiator. My temps and performance are quite good. I really wanted to thank you! If I had not watched your video I would not have known to expect the unexpected- I might have thrown in the towel and sent the case back. But with a healthy dose of patience and persistance, I now have a video editing monster in a tiny ITX package. All my best-Lee 😃

Nice build, really came together at the end. You ask for some tips so here are my two cents. I really love the nr200p, even more than the V2. For an itx case is really a huge case with tons of space 1) it's usually easier to disassemble most of the case (not just the panels) to have an easier time accessing hard to reach areas. You had the great idea of removing the top while mounting the AIO. I would suggest you finish up plugging all cables as well as mounting the cold plate on the CPU before reassembly. 2)if your are really worry about snagging cables with the fan blades, I would suggest getting some fan grills. They are Really cheap and it will remove that stress from your mind. Bonus tip: if the PSU is modular, and you are having trouble with cable management, you can buy some custom length cables for a cleaner build. Totally unnecessary, but it is pretty neat imo. Good luck with your new build. Hope to see plenty of videos of it in the future. I would have loved to see a b-roll shot of the finish build at the end. The NR200p is just a small square box but a complete setup would give a better perspective of the space saving one can have by choosing this case

So the 240mm Liquid Freezer 3 fits fine? I'm seeing conflicting information (think it's about the 280mm version though) I might even test the radiator with slim noctuas on instead.

Nice build. There are a lot of Electric screwdriver kits with interchangeable bits ; that work really good for pc building and other electronic work. Some of those kits , the included electric screwdriver has multiple speed settings.

I just finished mine. The CM sfx psu was causing a lot of coil whine. Replaced it with a Loki 750w. Build: 5600x, Asrock B550 Phantom, 32GB Vengeance 3600 RGB, Asus Loki 750w sfx-l psu, Asus Tuf 7900 xtx, Crucial 2TB nvme (g3), Asus LC280 aio, CM NR200P V2 (black).

Remember the Titans is where "Left side strong side" is from... Nice build. Planning a build with the same CPU and Motherboard. With the motheboard installed in the case, can you access the back m.2 slot?

With this motherboard, unfortunately you can’t. There’s a back plate on it that you’d have to remove first, which would require you to take it out of the case. 😕

i'll advise to use the seconde PCI-E Cable for the GPU, one isn't enought for your's, i think it's rated for 150w

A simple fan cage would have allowed you to keep the bottom fan at the front. I was also worried about the back fan on the gpu. There seemed to be a lot of cables squished in back there.

yeah defiantly don't put bottom fans as exhaust holy don't do that gonna choke the gpu to hell

with gpu spacers you can fit two full size fans at the bottom. or you do a slim on the left side and a full size ond re right side. or you go slim for both fans

CPU is fitted wrong, I'd suggest pump is 180 degrees out, get the leads at the bottom

Hi! Yes, I address that in the video. Since you have to vertically mount the GPU in this case, you cannot have the pump tubes at the bottom. I've been running this setup for a while now though, and haven't had any problems with overheating or thermal throttling. :)

It should fit a 280, depending on which you get. The only issue you might run into is ram clearance.
