We are building a shed and bought this to assist us Does not include any type of blueprints but very helpful to remind you about permits, different ways of doing the foundation or roof kzbin.infoUgkxcLVQopTIucrxiVRQA0khLGQEnDVKCSMG and why they need to be that way, it also includes "pro tips" and lots of pictures and videos Very informative! I also bought it used for 3.18 plus shipping and in "good" condition. It had a little dent on the cover but that was it. Glad I bought it!

I did a lot of this kind of stuff when I was younger. I sold all my land dwellings and bought a 44 foot trawler boat to live on . No taxes or bull shot. And I can pick up and go when I want. Did the loop and go to bahamas in winter. I suspect I’ll die on my boat. A free pirate I am.

I have been watching log cabin build videos for a long time. Yours is the first and only one that as a woman I think I could actually build on my own. I so thankful I found your videos. Thank you so much!

start here on this cabin, definitely! the later ones, with more complex cuts, won't seem so distant and challenging with some experience on this videos shack. it's basic but dang good, you'd catch me getting a good night's sleep in a shack like that!

Probably the best Ryan’s kzbin.infoUgkxGZedDTcDfgD7fG_uU4esfx_EgxzlY2_1 Plans on building a shed is hardly ever found. And Ryan takes the mystery out of different types of foundation options, etc. He even shows how to build a shed with different designs. Very comprehensive, covering different roofing materials, siding, etc.

Hi Kyle , I think stacked field stone or river stone would look great for the skirting on your log cabin build .

I agree, the stone would be perfect. Nice job! I own a Cedar Wood cabin, I didn't build it; but I sure do love it. If I were younger, I think I'd give this a try- Good going, Kyle! Please consider the stone- stone goes so well with wood. And, it gives the eyes a bit of a wondering break from solid wood.

Flood joist being level after several years is not a surprise, also look up the load strength and support needs for a 2x6. With all this work your doing already i would absolutely add 1extra day of work and put a center support for the floor.

I framed houses for 30 plus years the only thing that would make that better is one color tie in the center! But one log stretching 12 plus feet masic which will push the walls away from each other. I love your videos. I love your videos. Keep them coming, one day I will do one.

Cool video series! A trick an old carpenter i used to work for taught me to not split small, dry, or thin pieces of wood, is to flip the nail over in place, and hit it on the sharp side. That leaves a ring from the nailhead where you’re going to put the nail. Flip it over, and drive it in! I’ve had about a 98-99% success rate over the years doing it this way. Perhaps we’ll cross paths in the Greatland one of these days.
