I am reading comments before I watch the vid. Your comment is very good, I am busy and dont have time but I came to click like, comment, and share it, based on what I already know is gonna be very interesting, creative, useful, resourceful, well planned even the improvised or modified on the fly additions, and the things like a built in rocket stove for coffee and such, are the details that make this Man worth the time. Cant wait to see this. Although the other one was so unique, this will still be something cool.

I feel for you doing all this alone. Just finished a massive deck extension for a friend working alone. There is a lot of mud in her backyard so I didn't want to drive Edna beyond the driveway. So every post, board, and bag of concrete had to be carried by me. Plus I had to utilize a lot of tricks to hold boards in place without a s3cond set of hands. Top that with being overweight and out of shape. But it turned out great and she was very happy with it.

You know he has loads of friends, family, and community I bet he could call on for help. You want help when you're old, but Shawn's still young and able. There are projects I do, and that I'm able to do. I don't want others help. I'm extremely independent. After all, if someone helps, what am I going to do? I take dominion over my projects, and stand back to see what I've created.

My Mom loved watching your videos! She has since passed away on March 11 at Hospice in Branford,a town in my state of Connecticut, U.S.A.. I am very heart broken loosing my Mom but she was 90 and had a very decent life. She was a big fan of your videos and I also find your videos so very pleasant to watch! I am my Mom's youngest son and have lived with her all my life. I love the wilderness but I'm stuck living in a city 🏙️. I prefer the wilderness. I was actually born in Waterville, Maine on August 6 1966. I love swimming 🥽 and being creative with building model engines with Legos. I Now live alone but am fixing up my house 🏡 to my desire but would love to move to Maine when I retire. My parents had a summer ⛱️ cottage in Maine that we enjoyed throughout the 1980s. I certainly enjoyed watching your videos with my Mom!

How fun to see someone from Branford here! I'm from northwest Connecticut, but moved to the shoreline for a few years before coming to Colorado. I lived in Guilford and Stony Creek and then for a brief period in N. Branford. I have never forgotten a bakery in Branford that made the best broccoli bread, and also sausage bread ... pretty sure it was an Italian bakery. I've been trying to replicate that bread (haven't been able to). I love Maine, too. Hope you get to retire there as you want to. I've always thought that if I ever moved back to New England I'd land in Maine. But I love the Rocky Mountains too much.

I was a dog groomer in Yellowknife for 26 years. Retrievers are a popular breed up there. Many of the ones that came to see me in the spring asked for a 1” clip. It’s not a shave, but leaves enough coat to have protection from bugs and sun. The coat is grown back by winter. A shorter coat protects from heat spots and heat exhaustion in the summer. All round, it’s a great idea for her comfort. Please consider it, but get it done early. Spring ( ie May ish ) so it has time to grow back for winter. Don’t forget spring is a busy time for groomers. Book early.

I wondered where Cali`s orange toy went, she would have dug all day if she had to, to get that toy back. This outdoor kitchen is going to be huge, I could watch and listen to that rushing water all day, tons of snow melt, the beautiful scene at the end, were those glacial marks on that bedrock, I have seen Discovery Channel, were they showed how the glaciers moved south during the thaw, and they went to the bedrock that they moved over, and the scars are still there, 4-6-8 10 inches deep, they estimated the weight it would take to leave those scars, and they came up with, the ice that came down from the north, had to be 100 feet thick, we were under 100 foot of ice in Canada and Michigan, love the builds, that Cali has the time of her life, all the best to ya sir.

Took advantage of the 70 degree weather at the UP border and raked up pine needles and leaves; the juncos appreciated it with their usual show of lawn covering. I really miss the redbuds and dogwoods from the south, here, as rare as they are, the forest orchids, like the ragged fringed orchid found June 2014, and the entire hidden cove of bloodroot, are wonders in themselves.
