I enjoyed your build. Very well done. Your weathering and well used look reminds me of my favorite cartoon (concerning model trains anyway): A well worn farm couple is standing on the front porch of their well worn farm house with all of their well worn (delapitated!) farm equipment around them. A giant pair of tweezers is coming out of the sky holding a dented old bucket. The farmer is saying "Just once I would like to get something new around here!"

Wow! Nice job on the blacksmith shop! The best looking model railroads are the ones with clutter, debris and weathering. I find it amazing how you have taken a Disney park theme and turned it into the Thunder Mesa Mining... Of all the model railroads to view out there, yours is still my favorite!!! One question... Where is the blacksmith getting his coal from? Shouldn't there be a small coal bunker behind his lean to?

From one Dave to another, I'm going to give you the "credit " for your "superior work". I model in large scale (also a mining theme ), 1/18th using G gauge which represents 30" gauge. No layout yet, but have made structures, engines, cars, figures, and details, most if not all scratch built, and all 1st place contest winners. Best hobby in the world and very rewarding. Keep up the great work !

Superb scene you've created there Dave, There's always a lot of info in your videos, I'm happy if I can learn one thing from it, I'm a better modeller for it. Top Notch work. All the best. Brian @ The Angels

Nice video as usual .Lots of good modeling tips.Using silk to simulate tarps in O scale , very cool idea. Your layout is looking great.() Have you thought about providing animation for your blacksmith hammering his work? IE. Laurie M or Bill Iwan). Just a thought your structures and scenery are wonderful as you have built them.

I try to choose music that is appropriate for the era being modeled. Sorry if that’s not obvious.
