I can't live without that. Use it for life recordings. But I never was aware of using those hints. THANKS

Fantastic ! I already tried it with multitrack recordings and it came out great too.

It took Logic/Apple about 10 years to get this to work well but it does now.

Hi Chris, I have loved what you do for so many years. You have always been my gotoguy whenever I wanted to find out how to do something in Logic. However, I am now in the position where you have left me behind and I suspect quite a few of your following. I don't have an M1, can't afford it, and therefore am not on the latest Logic version and probably never will be. Just wondered if you could do me a favour and add 'M1 Users only' OR 'Logic 10.7.5 UP' in your video titles. It would help to know from the off instead of watching 2-5 minutes of a video to then find out that it doesn't apply to my set-up. I suspect that there will be others in the same boat as me. Although I won't be watching your videos from now on I would like to thank you for all the years of help you have given me and probably 10's of thousands of others. Keep doing what you do, you are a star!

He does state at 01:35 which version of Logic Pro is needed. It is also time stamped in the description and on the video itself.

excellent video. I am guessing that when you recorded, the performer listened to the session click at 114bpm only for a count off? Logic seems to do better with Smart Tempo if it is at least in the ballpark like your example.

Thanks as always Chris - great / clear / detailed explanation. Thanks in part to past videos, I feel good about using smart tempo and beat mapping. I have hit one issue though . . . if a MIDI track is involved, I've found no way to keep it in time with the project after applying the tempo map across the project. Have you tried that / found a solution?

Thanks so much for this, a very helpful tutorial. Despite the latest improvements Logic's Beat Mapping and Smart Tempo functions are still nowhere near Ableton Live's capabiliities. Hopefully Apple will catch up on day.

why did you bounce in place both of those first two tracks instead of using the top original recorded tracks?

He explains it in the video.

but then if I program drums with that tempo beat map, they sound horrible. the groove and pocket is off. so then I try to correct the guitar with Flex Time to align it with a solid grid, and it ruins the guitar. * although my guitar is way more off than this guitar. the performance I’m working with goes from 83-86-84 in a 4 bar playback length
