I am also a big fan of Biovores and Spore mines featuring in a Tyranid army… Gorgon seem interesting to me as a Hive fleet, not sure on Hyper-adaption though… What do you go for?

Thanks for commenting and great pic with Gorgon, as for adaptations I would say choose what is most opportunistic in each battle, seems to me that's how its designed to be used. As for what I go for, based on the themes I want for Gengar (creepy anti warp bugs) Kronos feels most suitable, opting for the adaptation that debuffs enemy psykers whenever possible for fluff.

@@WhatThe40k yeah, I always lean to Kronos for the anti-psyker theme, but I was now thinking that the abilities Gorgon bring a lot of nice benefits to win the fight… especially the always wounds on 4+, attempting to mass shots and attacks regardless of AP… Also provides opportunity for large units of spinefist termagants blasting and brawling even in combat… Heavy venoms would be the anti tank of course…

@@HighlandPhoenix I feel ya. I'd rate Gorgon stronger as well, for how it benefits from exceptions in the attack sequence.

@@HighlandPhoenix seems neat, I like the Flying Hive Tyrant being the emblematic leaderbeast it ought to be. The parasite is a nice touch too.

What size base is used?

I used 60mm but that was before GW made their newer biovore kits. IIRC they come on 80mm bases now.
