It's quite astonishing to see such a remarkable guitar come into existence. Well done! It did surprise me that you glued the neck since I thought they were typically screwed in. Of course, I'm not an expert.
@MagicAtticGuitars3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Jozsef! There are three main ways to attach the neck to the body. Bolt on, set neck (glued), and neck trough ( neck blank goes all the way trough the body). I try to avoid bolt on system if possible. In my opinion set neck does a better job in transferring vibrations from neck to body. If executed properly it can increase sustain and ad some character from neck wood to tone of the guitar.

Awesome work. Can I ask why you use router templates and hand cutting rather than your cnc?
@MagicAtticGuitars3 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I enjoy working with hands and I'm still learning to use my cnc. And also I think it's more beneficial for the viewers to show how its done with more basic tools.
@KitWN3 жыл бұрын
Another beautiful guitar! I see you are using what looks like a DIY CNC router for the fretboard. Do you plan to use it for bodies in the future? I have built a router which I plan to use to help me build a guitar this year.
@MagicAtticGuitars3 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I'm very new to the cnc world. I have a lot to learn. But yes I will try to make some of the building stages easier, faster and more precise.
@alannkevin3 жыл бұрын
The way you build its almost the same way I do it too.. 😆 is it normal? The only difference is that I do the fret slots by hand and the radius as well, but pretty much everything else is similar… like the fretwork, I like to do it before carving the neck, 😁👍
@MagicAtticGuitars3 жыл бұрын
If we both do it this way than is probably normal 😁 I also usually do the fret slots and radius bay hand. In this case I wanted to make fanned frets with blind ends. So I had ti use cnc ta achieve this. Thanks for your comment.

Another beautiful guitar, I love the woods you use. How many hours does it take to make something like this?

You're the gold standard really dude. feels superfluous to say, but awesome guitar, awesome vid... but tell me... how many times did you actually change the bandsaw blade during this vid? 😁
@MagicAtticGuitars3 жыл бұрын
Thanks man. This is really nice to hear. I changed the blade 4 times just for the build. From resaw king to 6mm blade and back. But then there are jigs and templates made behind the scenes. And I have another blade for rough cutting big chunks of wood to prepare blanks. Even if I only had to change it one time and it took hours I wouldn't do it. 🙂
