You should also add about 3' of wire netting on top of the fence because deer CAN skip more than 8' if they are really determind to get inside. And then you also have a foundation for a shade cloth over the whole are a if you so wish. And the slab in front of your door to the work room was a nice touch, here in Norway we call that a 'tram' and it is equivalent to a landing Stone.

Hi Bjorn, your nursery is coming along very nicely, I am looking forward to seeing a vlog with the trees on the benches. Speaking of benches, can you please post the link to the vlog where where you were building the benches, I have troubles finding it. Thanks and good luck with the grand opening!
@HansKaramottoBonsai6 жыл бұрын
Coming along nicely Bjorn! Why did you not use a more open Iron net mesh garden fence? That would keep out the deer just fine and would allow you to still enjoy the beautiful surroundings or your work from anywhere around your Bonsai garden! But it still might be a good idea to paint all that inside fence wood white to make it feel less inclosed?! Or cut out some sections so that they could be opened and held in to place open while people are working inside the garden, so that you cab still see what is happening around your premesis while you are working inside your garden. Dear Bjorn, I was waiting for this video a long time ago and I’am super proud of you that EISEI-EN is getting a body now! You are my Hero! Can I ask something? Are you sure to make the fence that closed with no room for wind? Is the climate there asking for this micro-climate? Are you sure you don’t want benches around the fence to have some Bonsai-background and not walking up and down each alee 2x when watering the plants? Where will you top-plants be exposed? It looks to me like the nursery where you grow up but i think you can do it beter!! Love you and provoke you Make it work, you’re the BEST and so is EISEI EN !

Good work and nice looking Bonsai display bench. It would look better if you drill the holes and insert the screws from the bottom. There will be no screw mark on the bench top.

Hello, I would like your opinion, I made a air layering in a pine tree native to my area, it is working, but it has little root. Do you think I should put it in the pot now at the end of that month, or wait for next spring? I am afraid to leave for next spring, and the harsh winter from where I live, will kill the roots because this air layering is in nature.

You must have Brewster's Millions to afford all that wood, Your gravel is called pebbles in the UK . Deer in the back garden awesome 👍

Can you do a video or blog about info on gravel? I am renovating my entire yard into a Japanese rock garden (with niwaki trees here and there) ...not much info at all on the internet on correct type of gravel to use. Kyoto style/looking gravel (white/light-grey with black specks) is impossible to find in the US (I’m in Cali). The chief landscaper of Portland Japanese garden (Tanaka-san iirc) knows where to get it though; but that’s his top-secret.

You should grow some bamboo on the property also!!!! That’ll help keep the deers out!!! Or build a shishi odoshi to scar them away. It’ll add as a nice water feature

The ones used to control cattle have a very low voltage, its cheap and easy. Im pro nature but if you have tree`s so expensive you can buy a house it might be worth the effort.

I'm no lawyer or building inspector, but I would really consider the liability you're taking on with an uneven landing stone that isn't flush with the floor. Just a thought. It's a great looking feature, though. Best of luck!
