@ugurkenel hey I just had a quick question for you. After watching this vedio I really do wanna do this kit next but I wanna know from your personal opinion is it worth the $200. I'm currently working on the new zoukei mura 109 and I gada say I highly recommend this kit. Awesome kit and just before that I did the 1/32 Tamiya F-16 and that is by far the best kit I have ever done. I will do several more in the future. With the more extensive kits I would say $170 plus I kinda would expect them to be pretty nice. Little to no flash. Fits well. You know what I mean by a nice kit. I guess my question to you is now that you have done this kit is it well worth the $200?
@ugurkenel Жыл бұрын
@@chrisg7398 Especially the latest models of ICM are of a quality comparable to Tamiya's. In fact, it has surpassed Tamiya in terms of detail with some of its models. The variety of models is much greater. If we talk specifically about this model, it is the same quality, incredible engineering, almost every detail has been processed. But since this large helicopter could not fit into the box, the fuselage was divided into more pieces than necessary. Therefore, more parts means more problems. The part that I find most problematic is that there are positive rivet details on the body, but at the same time, the joining lines are full of rivets. It requires leveling when assembling, but it is very difficult to level because of the positive rivets or the rivets are erased while sanding. So it's hard to evaluate, the model itself is very beautiful and flashy, there is no alternative to this. If you don't expect Tamiya F-16 quality in the body part, it is definitely worth the money.
@chrisg7398 Жыл бұрын
@ugurkenel I appreciate the detailed reply. I really do. I don't know why but this is 1 manufacturer ( ICM ) I have never tried but after hearing this I will definitely give it a shot. I started in cars and trucks then moves onto bikes then armor then aircraft. Love the older planes but appreciate the newer stuff as well. I have always had a thing for helicopters and the 1st one I tried was from Kitty Hawk and thet thing was horrible to put together. It came with saggy pieces and the gaps were massive. I thought for the $ I was getting a quality kit. Or maybe I just got a bad one. But I was so fed up with it that I never finished it. But once again this ICM kit will definitely be next. I'm lucky to live by Andy's Hobby Headquarters and I can go grab it. Again thank you for you insight into this kit.

Dekal uygulamadan önce parlak vernik atıyor musunuz yoksa boya üzerine dekal onun üzerine vernik mi? Şimdiden teşekkürler.

Car and truck kits often contain rubber like tyres. Why not planes?
@ugurkenel Жыл бұрын
I can guess, though I don't know the exact reason. Truck etc are usually made from 1/24 - 1/35 Scales and are mostly backed with rubber tires but because airplanes are usually made in 48 and 72 scales, their wheels remain much smaller. Therefore, producing rubber tires on a small scale can be costly. I think so. But recently, some aircraft companies like Hobbyboss use rubber tires in their models also.

I imagine if someone will want to be going Camping for 1year such thing after discovering a dinosaur(going back immediately) baby maybe then took it to another island by boat, can imagine like if military vehicles can be bought, i imagine like the world is actually bigger than what have been expressed or told, then like carrying freezer and alot of food etc. like nice. Bad witness will speak of what i may be capable then becomes "why talk of helicopters" maybe? 1 expression of attack is what kind of money? About pausing/stucking/angering/saddening a person. If a delivery way using this? About ruling movement or like "agro" creation "if a robotic" vehicle? Then actually it becomes my idea is smarter right? Understanding helicopter, means it is actually capable right? About easy money, or reason to have fun(by working also).
@anasqai Жыл бұрын
I thini this toy can be created easier if use magnet, then actually if metal becomes nicer then can become a delivery thing for young people maybe, if automatic flying by g.p.s. like maybe people feel "helicopter" first is nicer because something special "nicer if for friends first" i heard like that, about conflict, the war situation if at night a helicopter if use nitrogen/dryice actually can be stronger and rescue people anyway i think. But i think they have made me belief about existence of "rescuers" maybe when the group maybe havent existed yet? It is like a long wait like 4yrs now and then story of helicopter group a cannibal, then a forming of ruling "if country of to not enter" will disturb a rescue intent i think, the country people's belief then? The pretence of "country of" as a sarcastic showoff of capability and wealth(vehicles) "to enter" kind of secret war does it enter News? A conflict between my country and nearby like secretly doesnt actually exist, they have been a false country identity to disturb life wishes. "Other than surviving" maybe should be their wish, as "forgive and forget" is a promoted belief/decision/action to targets.

Very nice job, but please please please forget about the CA glue by glueing the plastic parts together, especially by glueing and filling the clear parts, even if you work in latex gloves. The fumes can ruin your entire job in seconds... It's ok for resin to resin, resin to PE, or PE to PE, with good ventilation, but for the windows use wood glue.
@ugurkenel Жыл бұрын
thanks. I have been using only CA glue for the last 15 years and have not had the slightest problem. Different adhesives may be recommended for beginners. But CA is indispensable. It dries quickly, adheres very firmly and can be sanded. If you know how to use it, you won't have the slightest problem even with glass parts.
@MrSamee36 Жыл бұрын
I'm avoinding it, beside the mentioned, since I began the modelling in the late 90'-s. For filling gaps, there are several other products, even in ethil acetate dissolved sprues. For glueing plastic to plastic, the dedicated glues, like tamiya extra thin cement, or revell contanct glue are providing stronger and flexible, material like bond, CA is to rigid for that, it breaks easily. And also if you have to use lead as a weight, it causes very bad corrosion with it, which also destroys the modell. Rogerio Marczak wrote an article about this phaenomenon. Also the fumes of CA glue are carcinogenic. Your models are high quality, so that's why I mentioned to avoid the usage. ;)

I totally agree. I have nothing to say about the harmful fume of CA. Thats right. But using Tamiya extra thin? It melts the plastic and takes a long time to dry. CA, on the other hand, is ready in a few minutes, and is even ready to be sanded. For filling gaps? Putty? is definitely a waste of time. With a few drops of CA, I get stronger and faster results. Even in canopy operations. My idea and style. Thanks very much for your recommendations.
