True rear suspension make sure to add some metal for the top of the rear shock tower for support as it's very flimsy. I've had guys come back with the shock going right through the car. Apart from all that happy to see this car in the works! Looking forward to some more videos. If you look up ODE TO THE KING on speed hunters that's my AE86 if you would like to get some inspiration on an AE86 build.

Need to do ITB conversion and it’ll be one of your best sounding cars that you have

Make sure you spot weld the chassis if you’re going true rear coil or you’re going to be in a world of pain. They also make some reinforcement plates as well

This is a myth that has been busted already No need to stitch weld or reinforce anything unless you have rust to run true rear coil overs

I think you need a Kakimoto Racing R exausht system they sound amazing and is what the drift King and ledgend Keiichi Tsuchiya uses I have had one on my 180SX for 22yrs and love it.

These cars are kinda known to be kinda flexxy and toyota have used very thin metal thats kinda why they are so light. That also means they flex a whole lot and so that front strut brace really shows how much the car flexes. Thats also why most ae86s in japan have the bolt in roll bars and a a popular thing to do is stitch weld the chasis which adds alot of rigidity plus the roll bar

This is why I had to change the name of my channel from Daily Driven Nissan to my Name. I realized there are more cars an trucks that enjoy besides Nissan. I love Nissan vehicles and they will always be my focus, but I get inspired by builds like this Hatchi Roku! I was sucked into the Initial D anime the first time I watched them in 2003. And now seeing it make a comeback with a few KZbinrs is making me want to do an Initial D car build! It's gonna have to wait until I get my Frontier truck build done first!! I'm pretty sure the deciding factor in the skids was the beautiful Expert OZ floormats. xD btw, I'd hang onto that Annex suspension setup just in case, pretty sure Fortune is a sponsor but... you never know. there is a lot that can go wrong with coilovers on the 86 as others have mentioned.

Those toyota rear diffs are so easy to build. My buddy races the 80 Corolla dirt track with 3tc motor fully built. Sound so sick. But get you a 4y put in 3tc and turbo it.

@@dustiinw Progression Motorsports made some reviews on them if you wanna check them out, especially the one in the black limited car, although if you don’t like the feel, then you can feel free to swap them out for the fortune autos. From what I’ve seen the Annex coils are pretty desirable in the 86 community, although I haven’t really tested them myself since I have the BC racing setup instead, but anyway great video tho.
