Happy new year! very good project and beside your charisma is brilliant as always. Only is need add that the Ausf.B was an improved version of the first model. It appeared in 1936 and was built until 1938, with around 675 machines produced. The main difference was a longer chassis (by 40 cm) with one more bogie wheel, in order to accommodate a much more reliable and powerful water-cooled, six-cylinder Maybach NL 38 TR delivering 90 bhp, along with a new gearbox. The suspension was also largely improved. The weight rose to 5.8 tons, but neither the armament nor armor were modified. Keep being yourself, as person and modelist you are amazing, thanks by your efforts

Hey sir just wanted to say i love your rendition of this kit, with a kit as old as Italeri's Pz.1 you truly pulled it off! the preshading style with different colors is interesting and i have never seen it before, but i think im going to try it. All i can say is thank you for making outstanding videos, i remember back in 2012, when i was 11 watching your maus video over and over again (this was the time when i wanted to build the biggest tank i could because bigger is better of course) and just religiously watching every new video. thanks for making such great content sir!

I'm glad you like it. It's not too often I hear from people who tell me that they are a loyal viewer. I feel humbled by knowing that. You should try color variations, like mine, a try. I'm not too sure but I think when we see objects that has one color, in reality, we see many different colors but it's too much information for our brain to interpret so we filter out the minor color variations and just interpret it as one color. I might be wrong but I'm sure an eye expert such as an optometrist can verify this. Anyway, I'm sure you will enjoy this experiment. I with you and your family a happy new year! Take care.
@ryanshobbies4 жыл бұрын
@@qdc748a I sure will try out the technique, I'm sure your correct on how the brain perceives color and I think that it would look super interesting on a mustard painted panzer! thank you for your response and have a great day! :)
@qdc748a4 жыл бұрын
@@ryanshobbies how I chose my bright colors was using a n artist color chart called the "color wheel". What I used is the "complimentary color" of the color I used. Since I added blue to the grey, I used the complimentary colors. For your project, you are using mustard which made of mostly green, red, and yellow so you will look up it's complimentary colors on the color wheel. Look it up. I hope this helps 😊
@ryanshobbies4 жыл бұрын
@@qdc748a Ah that makes total sense, i was wondering what way you chose the colors but that makes total sense, im sure this technique could be used on aircraft too to make some interesting color modulation there, but for a heavily weathered tank this technique sure looks great! thanks so much for the help! :)

Really nice job. The weathering looks good and I love the way you brought the whole thing to life with the little diorama. It's not the most detailed figure but you've painted it very well. One thing though, last time it was cookery, now it's gardening! I am getting confused! The lavender idea was very nifty. (The missus would kill me if she caught me messing with her garden so I'll pass on that trick).

Hi Michael. It's too bad that your wife is going to be upset if you touch her garden. Hobbyboss have took over the old Tristar moulds and released a whole series of the panzer 1s and panzer 4s I have mostly them all now I ordered alot on this past couple of months the panzer 1 ausf A has a full interior and engine etc I'm away to build i have the flak panzer 1 too and the 38ts theres many and the detail is amazing! If your interest in the panzer 1s and finding it hard to get check out hobby boss new kits! Very recommended you will love them! There is alot of differences to the panzer 1 A and B and the detail to the italiri is just second to non! Theres only 6 road wheels to the 7 on the B the front wheel was a different stronger steel to the rest so keep an eye out for the different front wheel! It might not be in detail on this old kit but it is in the new hobby boss kits so keep a lookout for that 1 different wheel

Hi qdc, it's really nice job! BTW, what colors did you use for the figure, especially for his coat??
@qdc748a4 жыл бұрын
I mix my own colors. I used a combination of enamel paints and artist oil colors. I painted the enamel colors first. After it tries, then I use art oil paints to add the shadows and highlights.

Also, I mix my own colors so I can't give you a brand name. Sorry.

Thank you for the reply with detailed explanation. I didn't expect that you were using a various paints. Anyway field grey on his coat is really good that is not too greenish than Tamiya's one.

It's just a trophy plaque I bought at my local craft store called "Michael's". It comes in many sizes and shapes. I do not know which country you are from but I think most art supply store will have one. Take care. :)

Nice video and on the history side that tanks armour was weak and the machine guns weren't belt fed (not mg 34) it was a magazine fed and held little more than a soldier might have in his m16/ak47 today. When we see these tanks they trundle along on historical film showing them on operations 1939 till as late as the 'F'type in Russia . Remember what Poland had to fight them was TP7 tanks which was slightly better and a tankett armed with machine guns or a 20mm gun which proved useful.Some tanks were painted with a brown camo patten on the grey . Thanks for sharing as many sites show off bigger tanks which many find to expensive to buy and paint .

Very nice work on that Panzer. Unfortunately the history was wrong. The Germans trained for the Blitzkrieg by fighting in the Spanish civil war. They fought on the Nationalist side, The Condor Legion. My grandfather fought for the Nationalist, and has many pictures of the Panzers. Other than that, beautiful work!

Thanks. Yes, it is a good kit for beginners but they stop producing it. You can find this kit on E-bay.
