A bit far to go, just to introduce a kit build... ;) Now, I agree with you, I really like the way that Tamiya has solved the issue with the many road wheels, the track and the suspension, in my mind a brilliant solution that will save the builder a lot of hassle. Having seen your footage, I want to go and see the Churchill War Rooms for myself, maybe I'll go in the autumn.Haven't got the Churchill tank but I have a few other Tamiya armour kits in 1/47, including a Sherman Firefly and a JagdPanther, which I plan to include in some sort of diorama.. at some point!! Not sure when.... Now, to sum it all up, you did yet again a beautiful job of the model you decided to build, I like the subtle weathering and the finished result is stunning. And finally, thanks for the mentioning, it was a great day out and I still think about the things we discussed and the things we saw at the IWP. Now I'm off to go shopping.. needs must! :) A man has to eat..

The Churchill War Rooms are a must to see, especially since you're so close to it. It is amazing to see the actual place where he led your country to victory! I felt transported back in time. It's a labyrinth of rooms and passageways of various stations and meeting rooms. It's pure history and I felt fortunate enough to visit your treasure. You must visit the Churchill War Rooms, you wont be disappointed. I still remember our great time at the Imperial War Museum! Take care my friend. :)

Brill work Col, I have the Tamiya 1/35th scale Churchill and I still to this day think it's one of the best , for your money kit you can get as it has a mini little diorama ready in the box with the French man and little wooden cart he is towing handing over a bottle of wine to the tank crew it's great. I'm hoping to do a build for the Warts and all Group Build of a famous picture of a Churchill with some of the Stafford's , my local unit that is no more taking cover on One of the beeches during the landings on D Day !!!. I'm really gutted seeing get to meet when you were over.
