Gray wash cloths, nice tip. From the outtake, you can have your trains wherever you want. Lol. Thanks for the update!

Train isn't unrealistic on an incline....railroading in the mountains.....stop signals are everywhere! I've been there and done that.

Another way to make mountains is to use fiberglass screen materiel, cheap and easy to work with, also no need for the messy cloth

Great update and thank you for the techniques. I have found caulk at the Dollar Store. Yes it’s $1, but it works in this application. Keep up the great videos.

Things are coming along there Jimmy. When I started laying track a while back I tested like your saying but unfortunately all I had was 4 Axl engines. Now I have a couple 6 Axl and they can't manage over half + of my layout 😤. O well time for a redo. I'll definitely be doing more testing with my biggest engines. Anyway keep having fun, Chris

Enjoying the layout updates. The cardboard weave is one of the cheapest and best scenery tricks under the plaster cloth. You can also stuff newspaper wads under it if you need it to hold shape. (I do pull the paper out after the plaster is dry thru an access point)
@tczephyr36653 жыл бұрын
Couldn’t help but notice you had a bit of a problem getting the hot glue to hold when doing your weave. I use clothes pins to hold the two pieces of cardboard in place while the glue cures. I can go quickly to the next junction without waiting. One added advantage is that I don’t burn my fingers if excess glue oozes out.
