There are advantages and disadvantages to a gated community. Advantages: Less crime because it's gated Paved roads Electricity Water Well organized, neat and clean No one can come and build a church In case of an emergency you have neighbors nearby Disadvantages: Homes too close to each other No privacy Security guard knows your business No parking space for visitors No place to plant trees or have a garden

How long does it take to drive from East Legon to East Legon Hills? Does anyone know? From what I gather there’s no facilities whatsoever in ELH eg malls, shops, restaurants and it’s anyone’s guess how long these essentials will reach the area. If you like to go out and eat and have a bit of fun you will have to drive (on dirt roads) for quite a fair distance to East Legon itself. I think the name ELH is typical real estate agent invented name and misleading. I bought a plot there but I’m under no illusions of what the area has to offer and I don’t intend to live there for 5-10 years when it’s better developed. Aldo, Vanessa, if you drove that far out what is it like in the area around Ashsimsn dam/TDC plots? Much cheaper there plots are $20,000 instead of $35,000 nearer EH.
