Welcome to Ilos, our modded South-West American inspired City! Today we are looking at State Farm Stadium in western Glendale. This huge stadium is surrounded by an enormous field of car parks in 3 directions while farms lie in the remaining one. A really crazy place and the perfect inspiration for the final stadium Ilos will have. Enjoy!

All of the elderly people have been waiting their whole lives for a football (soccer) stadium to be built in Ilos. Thus the grey flood. This is an awesome build with great attention to detail. I love how you reference real places but make each build uniquely yours. The addition of metro was a brilliant choice too.

This has to be the most American stadium build in Cities! Fantastic work. Setting the sunken service entrance as a one way loop and moving the spawn point back there might get some truck traffic moving in and out of the tunnels

Love the blooming city of Ilos! I’d love to watch you make one similar to New Orleans, Louisiana. I could imagine it be challenging with the River, swamp, French style architecture, streetcar access etc. I know you would kill it! Keep up the good work. Love the content.

I wanted to do a Deep South American build after Ilos but decided on tropical instead. After that though, we'll certainly be heading back to a southern states inspired build :)

You should consider placing some sort of Hotel near the Stadium. My American relatives live in Mesa, Arizona and they attend Cardinals games frequently but they say they hate going to the the stadium because there is just nothing around there to make it worth staying in Glendale but you made this stadium have so many fun activities. So I could see people wanting to spend a good weekend near the stadium.

I can see why you like this build so much! I imagine those metro figures would be very high on match day. Would deleting one of the gravel/dirt roads in the solar farm so there’s no through connection help stop peds walking through it?

Absolutely amazing, I've said it before but, how you embody everything about Pheonix is incredible. For the partial grid left you should take inspiration from the real thing and have low density housing. I like how no one is out there trying to recreate my hometown Atlanta - maybe it's the horrific urban sprawl lol.

Very cool stadium build and as always the walking ants in CS are absolutely unreal. Seems like all the population of Ilos plus 100k tourists walked down those paths to watch that match 😆 This city is really amazing, in fact with that closing shot I think it's time to call this a metropolitan area rather than just a city - sooo big 🤩

there's nothing quite like gameday traffic on I10 and Loop 101 in Phoenix 🤭 and little fun fact about the stadium: not only is the roof retractable, also the field can be moved in and out

I have been to this very outdoor mall, and can confirm it the endless sea of black asphalt is too much, especially when it's August and also 105 degrees F ( 40 C).

I wonder what else you can add before you end the series. Do you have all 3 types of university campuses, and have you made a giant college town? Also, the next series should probably involve attempting to make the biggest city possible that has all the features the base game has to offer.

Now, that's some walking, incredible amount of people.😆 And the stadium build is amazing, and at last the "real" football stadium. 😝 It is my favourite stadium. 😀 Great integration of the metro and fanpark and the ticket office and media and everything. So much car parking as well... Have to agree, in real life, it is jarring to see, but in such a build it is wonderful. I was also watching this with my son, and he said he wanted to see more of the football going on in the stadium.😂

as football fan that often go to the match i think he car park are unnecessary too big because Ilos already has good trasit system and i also think that it would be better to have a place where the fans can gather before the match doing some chant or whatever and maybe add some hotel,restaurant and maybe some shop that sells the club's merchandise.

Sup! You can use Node Controller to put paths and stretch them by the changing nodes to Custom mode and put borders where ever you need and cover maximum of area with walkable area))

So not sure if you covered this but the pitch you see outside of the State Farm stadium actually rolls in and out for the games. The grass stays outside so I can be watered and get sun then it's rolled in for the games. Interesting little tid bit.

You could build the glendale sports and enteaintainment district/westgate type area in the empty plot next to the stadium, it would fill up the parking and is close to the stadium in real life, and the casino there could be waterfront with a hotel resort. And the fan zone could go in between near the stadium as a transition piece possibly?

as a football fan i thought i Built an amazing stadium in one of my builds, but this one is even better. Not much, but better than mine. I love building soccer stadiums :) well here in the "Ruhrgebiet" in Germany, i have much inspiration as there are stadiums in Gelsenkirchen (Schalke), Dortmund, Duisburg, Essen, Bochum etc. To be honest, the stadium in Bochum is the one i think its strange, because it is right i residental Part of the city :D
