www.EK.tech/snaxan Finally done! I started saving in 2015 (I didn't know what I'd end up getting at the time), waited another year to get all the parts. Many enjoy shorter time lapsed type videos, but most of my subs are new to this like I am. So I thought it would be great to show what the journey is like. This is not a sponsored video and I had to buy every part myself.
Answers to FAQs I've been getting:
-I will game on this but this was mainly built for content creation and to cut down on my video editing/rendering which takes a lot of time on my old PC.
-I didn't pay scalper prices during the great shortage. (GPU from Best Buy, twitter notifications helped)
-I dont have any other storage drive other than the 2 2TB m.2 drives shown. I use a NAS solution for networked for storage
-Yes I will overclock haven't dialed in the settings yet, still figuring things out as I'm still a new.
-I know this is a super popular case so if you questions on anything, I'll try and pay it forward by helping as much as I can. I learned a lot by asking people on other videos etc, helped me a lot.
The part that I could have saved on and gotten something cheaper was the PSU. It's way overkill currently, BUT I wanted something ultra quiet & this one will enable me to use it for an even bigger/more power hungry build in the future, plus flexibility to add 2nd card. It was the most quiet/efficient even with lots of headroom.
-Yes, the bubbles in the front go away
-Not shown is I used the corner of my wall/table edge for a 90 bend to make it tighter. (mandrel radius too big). I was experimenting, but I liked it, ended up using it. I also ended up swapping a tube with a pre-bent for the final showcase. The bend radius was too big for my liking.
-Bottom/rear rad intake, top exhaust (changed the back after)
-Yes of course I did get a lot of help from internet and friends, TONS of reading/research, actual building was all done by me.
- My PC's name is Ellie named after one of my pets who passed away.

Check out my latest build! kzbin.info/www/bejne/hYmommyme72rpdE And update to this one: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hJDEfq2PqMqfjq8 My dedicated tech channel www.youtube.com/@snaxantech?sub_confirmation=1 will start in spring of 2024! Thanks to all the support and positive vibes! Cool to see people who aren't familiar with water cooling or pc building get inspired by or introduced to this. Most of my viewers on the channel are on console, maybe some of them have a PC and air cool, but very few if any water cool. So this has been really fun seeing a lot of people who've never seen liquid cooling get excited about it. Of course, there are great reasons for people to have air cooled or even prebuilts as well, nothing is "better" except for whatever works best for you in a given situation. Btw originally, this video wasn't meant to be a "how to" video and it was more about covering the journey of building one from the point of view of someone who is still learning about it. For those who might take some things from the video for their own build, a couple of notes - I did some experimenting afterwards and found that I got best results in temps with all fans set up as intake except for the top, so the setup is now different than the video. Also, for some bends, the mandrel didn't bend tight enough for me so I actually had to do two by hand, aided by the end of the table or the corner of the wall, (so if you need to get a really tight bend, the mandrel may not work for you but should be good enough for most). One of the tightest bends I made does have a very small, slight bulge in it that you can't really see unless you look closely, the camera doesn't really pick it up. I also swapped out one tube for a pre-bent tube as they look much tighter. I think pre-bents are fine and save time, but I really think you should try to bend your own tube at least once, I know I made it look like it was a struggle, but in reality it was a real enjoyable experience. Temps- CPU usually idles at 35 degrees on average (Keep in mind the model of my CPU runs VERY hot and it's normal to go to 90c when air-cooled), it hasn't gone above 75 so far and that was when it is at full load for a moment only. The GPU reads around 30 usually, if I'm rendering very heavy files or converting things like 4k raw files, it may hit the 40s and I've seen it peak at 56 one time when I had to render heavy files that took an hour. Gaming makes GPU peak around 45-50 usually. The back of the GPU does seem to be hot though and I am planning on getting an active backplate for it. Anyway, thanks for stopping by and letting me share the journey! So happy I'm finally finished, but in a way I feel like it will never be finished (always tinkering or making changes). everyone always asks for what fittings: (9) 90 degree amzn.to/3d89QMr (note - 2 are hidden on the bottom rad in the back corner) (2) 14mm Extender amzn.to/3wdWxm8 (1) 28mm extender for the bottom rad amzn.to/3rsQeuw (1) 14mm rotary offset amzn.to/31hzTyh (1) 7mm rotary offset amzn.to/3rsR5ve (1) 90 degree FF amzn.to/3EffoAB (for the hidden tube in the back). Ideally you can bend this and just use one run. Since the tube is hidden, you can just use a soft tube which works better because the weight of this fitting weighs the tube down. Also - not needed but if you want that bottom tube to be as straight as mine - (1) 3mm offset amzn.to/3rtoGWa More parts in the description

Hard tube line is neat, but for the first build, id rather choose good soft tubes. yeah, they dont look as clean, but they are much more maintainance friendly and immesurably easier to install. and in case of distroplate where ports are roughly right against each other. you can make soft tube looks almost as straight as hard tube.

If you're wondering why this video received so much traction, you're showing up on people's feeds thanks to the algorithm. But more importantly, you showed ALL the work that went into an entirely watercooled build. This isn't even a basic one either - you went with an active backplate and a distro plate rather than just a pump/reservoir combo. You went hard tubing AND acrylic from the start. These are not easy even for people who have built 100s of systems in the past and have some experience water cooling. You showed all the steps and adjustments too, that most creators will not show. The built turned out absolutely perfect and I'm sure most of us are both very proud of you and jealous of what you've created. It's clearly a work of passion!

Distro plates makes the tube routing process much more easier. Everything connects to it. Planning is easier too . I have exactly the same case, same mobo and same number of radiators, but no distro plate. Planning and assembly was really hard.

@@Disiplyn I agree for hard line, because it's easier to just route straight to the distro plate, but for soft line tubing it's always been easy (albeit ugly) for me. Granted I've never water cooled for aesthetics in the first place and haven't bothered since the flaming hot R9 series

Sarah, the positive vibes and support isn't because you're just a girl doing watercooling, wasn't sure if you understood that judging by your comment. You truly created an amazing build that even many novices can't do regardless of male and female. They either don't take the time to do things right or just don't care to put in the love that you did and I think that's the main reason why people are responding so positively. Honestly I've seen many building videos and this one is great. Even better than some they do on LTT, I'm not kidding. No joke. Also the way you took the time to edit the video was really nice and clear, and a "how to" on a "how too" even though you aren't really hyping up the "how to" part. Loved how you left the bad bends in (everyone knows that there is always bad bends but YTers never show this), and the showcase at the end was brilliantly done. By the way, i watched this video with my wife and 8 year old daughter. All of us loved it. So you have an experienced wc builder, a young girl who has never seen a girl do something like this, and a woman who normally hates wc videos and makes fun of me watching them all the time, all giving a big thumbs up on this.

@@SnaxanGaming I got everything just the way I want it :D I did a bit of case modding, so I could fit 3 X360M EKWB rads in the loop! I took a dremel with a cutting bit and cut out the exhaust area for the back panel, I left the top panel off and mounted the fans to the outside of the case on both sides! It absolutely won't be for everyone, It looks awesome and gives it a bit of uniqueness to it! Now if I can figure out how to fill the distro plate the last half inch hahaha. It did take forever! But it made things feel more rewarding. Yet it's still never done as I always want to tinker with things.....I haven't optimized or dialed in my fan and pump settings yet but so far, my CPU idles around 37 degrees (a little higher than I thought it would be learned that this Ryzen does run warmer and it's normal) and 72 is the highest peak so far at full load, around 55 when doing heavy work. Around 45 when playing a normal game, 55 at max settings. GPU between 28 to 40, the water temp usually around 30. Still tweaking things though :)
