Looking back at your older videos, I can see that the workflow, routines, and tools you shared are still super relevant today. But the way you’ve made everything so seamless and personalized now is just next-level. I used to bounce around from tool to tool, trying to optimize my workflow, and honestly, I’d even get distracted tinkering with random stuff. Watching your content made me realize I just need to focus on the work itself instead. Also, I really appreciate how, even after all these years, you’re still the same guy taking the time to reply to comments. It’s rare to see that kind of consistency, and it’s one of the reasons I keep coming back to your channel ❤❤

I'm so happy you started 3D printing and have a new "medium" to explore. It's always a pleasure to watch you design your way through things and I'm very tempted to go all Matthew on a small closet in my office to optimize it - I hope to get to it soon! Quick question: Did you use PETG to print the planter? Is still holding water fine?
@MatthewEncinaАй бұрын
Thanks! I used PLA. One of them started to leak, so I will go back in and spray all of them with rubber sealant to close up any gaps.
@salimbenbouzАй бұрын
@@MatthewEncina Yeah, I just wanted to warn you if it was PLA. It's hygroscopic and will degrade even more if it sits in water long-term. But coating the inside with rubber sealant as you mentioned, might do the trick!

If those 3D prints ever start to leak a bit, which I've found them prone to do after a time, I find it helpful to mix up a batch of clear boat resin and just lightly roto cast it inside each model. The next day, you'll have water tight vessels and they won't mold either (water and bacteria like to grow between the layer lines.)
@MatthewEncinaАй бұрын
@@jeditsuyoshi good to know. I have to research that. I’m testing using a rubber spray sealant inside to see if that helps with leakage.
@jeditsuyoshiАй бұрын
Yeah, white Plastidip works well for me, but it’s super stinky and hard to spray inside something with a small opening and get a good coat. I’ve found a fairly viscous resin to be best. Also resin is usually fairly inert and won’t leak chemicals into your plant (silicone is best). Great comic collection, by the way.
