Nate, if humanity will have to move to another planet, your bike building videos will be the first thing to save for transportation. Because THEY ARE ART 🎨🎭 Love you, man!
@IamSeafarer13 күн бұрын
Absolutely love these videos. Missed these. That being said gotta say I am in the opposite house of the SRAM Wireless everything is the end-all solution - I have as much disdain for Pinkbike commentors as you, but the AXS-T issue is ACTUALLY happening to me where it is eating into the frame IF the transmission is not installed the EXACT torque. Sure I'll buy a calibrated wrench but when traveling?? Uninstalling and reinstalling it for bike transit in bags, I also had major shifting problems, backpedal chain slip, and general shifting problems more than any Shimano XT drivetrain I've ever owned. Upshift rubber pad on the remote fell off after a small crash and was lost forever. That sort of stuff adds up to a lot of frustration. This paired with the amount of issues I'm hearing from friends and longer term reviewers pinning the Maven brakes for being LADEN with performance and maintainance issues makes me really dislike SRAM lately. I enjoy my Rockshox suspension experiences but honestly I cannot stand how unreliable the SRAM product lines have been. So much money, and now I am riding my bike less and tinkering more.

WTB stands for Wicked Tight Bead , always a struggle getting their tires on and off. Also the only brand of tire I've ever seen stuck on a rim. But they are excellent tires
@natehills938818 күн бұрын
Better that than peeling them off in every turn, haha.

I hear Negra Modelo is what the Baja guys used to seal head gasket leaks back in the day. Also, some Tajin in the tire will help the Modelo seal quicker.👨🏽🔬
@natehills938817 күн бұрын
Some particles in the sealant would be a great idea. Tajin FTW! haha

These are so funny, I can't stop laughing while learning too. Seriously though, please let us know if you actually are riding the thing with just beer all over it or if was for the video only? Curious how long til it turns into creak city if you're really riding the Modelo version!

Well at least Nate will be lubed up for a couple days with all the extra packing grease he consumed during this build. Personally I use Rock and Roll greases. Will be curious how the FA works out.

You think the 140LR feels undergunned? Thought it was supposed to be the do-it-all.
@natehills938817 күн бұрын
140 is the do it all. Doesn't mean it climbs like and XC bike and descends like a DH bike though. 160 is my go-to.

This Yeti SB 160 is known to have a low stack height. What is the rise in your handle bars? How are you contending with the lower stack height that people complain about? And no front fender? Also, Yeti specks this bike with a 170 mm fork, while you go "lunch ride" with 180 mm. Can you elaborate on the difference and why you prefer the 180?
@natehills93887 күн бұрын
I think you just answered your own question.

Nate, did you wrap this bike? And do you recommend wrapping my Yeti before I build it? BTW, once again I really enjoyed this bike build video. You were very informative and hilarious as usual. Thanks for keeping us in the loop regarding the latest and greatest mtb parts and accessories.
