A basic apple laptop will be just fine to start. If you don't need a laptop, but can get a desktop, and iMac would be a great start, or even a Mac Mini to save some money. Storage for video files will add up so i would recommend getting a laptop with 1TB of storage minimum.

No problem. I've been learning as well so i like helping people when i can. Keep in mind, on the SSD storage for video files, internal storage is preferred as it helps with loading times when editing in Final Cut Pro. If you're editing files that are on an external SSD, there will be lag and latency so editing could get rough, especially when you start to edit longer projects.
