Rocker covers and doors tend to rust. Make sure to rust proof the car using oil base material, keep the body free of dirt.

Nice!!! 🔥 I have a 6th generation camry that I'm thinking of tricking out. Watching this kinda helped me to realize that I don't have to do everything at once. I was mostly thinking about the money. To get mine slammed, they said that it would be around $2,300; the BBs deep dish is between $4 to $5,000. That's what I was looking at. What are some other, cheeper deep dish rims out there? 3 piece? I only have tinted windows and 2 audiopipe15s. It already had a stock kit around it. I also was thinking of a bumper upgrade and make it a little wider. I absolutely love the car! But I'm cheap.

I have 4th generation Camry LE 2.2L the same color. I have changed a lot of things. The Camry is almost all led now. There are 4 thing I can't change to led. They are as follows hazard, clock, cigarette lighter, and master door switch light. These things I can't change. As of yesterday August 2, 2024 I changed out the glovebox light to a cool white 74 led bulb. I like it it's brighter. I want to get strip lighting for the undercarriage but I don't know if I should get multi or single color. Front bumper will be change so I can change the grill to chrome and black grill. Headlight and turn signal housing I already have the housing are trimmed in black. I want to get a new muffler for the Camry but I don't want it to sound like a lawnmower. My late cousin gave me his father's Camry. The Camry LE 2.2L is a 2000. Cabel at Sergeant's tire wants me to get 17 X 8 custom rims for the Camry. I don't know yet. Your Camry looks cool. The mounting would have to be custom as there isn't any on models that didn't come with it, plus a new turn signal stock is needed unless you just use a button or switch of your own

I really dig the build and I’d love to do something similar, specially since I have the 6 cylinder 3.0, but I just love the comfort of the stock suspension and tires. Is it a much harsher ride with this setup?

It was pretty bouncy. I did have it turned all the way to hard tho.. the BC Racing Coilovers are 30 way adjustable so you can soften them up to how you want it to feel. But the reduced body roll really does improve it overall. A lot more responsive.

Check out fitment industries. They have a gallery where you can look at cars and see what setups they have. IE coilovers and wheels setups. Look at newer camrys for wheels ideas too. Invest in a good set of coilovers for max adjustment. I went with BC Racing. ..

When you replaced the coil overs did you have to do any other suspension work?

At the time yes I replaced every single bushing and ball joint, tie rods, sway bar end links, lateral arms, even most of the hardware. Control arms. Ect.. I had the while rear subframe out. Just because I'm meticulous about my maintenence. But you'll have to at least loosen up all the sway bar bolts/bushings and retighten after your done lowering it. You don't need different sway bar end links just let the sway bar pivot up.

Im gonna be real, I drive one of these and I think you just made it look weird. The ride height is just too low to really look good and its static so good luck actually driving places. Especially with how even in photos from a distance its clear how the rolled fenders are homemade and they just dont look even at all. And the lighting in general is cringe tbh, looks like those ricers from cars. Still cool to see mods and not tryna hate but I just dont understand the point. I know everyones got preferences, but at the same time I gotta question why someone would go so far out of their way to build a car that isnt even fun to drive anymore because you gotta constantly worry about rubbing and scraping.

@Brad the og that was pretty much the process. Achieving stance takes a lot of adjustments. Ride height, camber ect. What wheels you pick will determine a lot of that. If you notice the first time the wheels were on, they looked terrible, no camber and they poked out. Then later I cut and pulled the fenders more to drop it down. Mines an 02 Camry same color but it’s rusted on the rockers and a bit underneath the doors but it’s my project car and I still got a long way to go… hope to make mine something close to your build… mines a standard though and a 4 cylinder I have been working more on the mechanical side of things then on the looks of it… but I did buy some new rims from fitment industries and some new Michelin tires. I have spent 7000 on the car already and the engine is already at 450,000 km/ 280,000 miles and still going strong 💪🏽. Nice build my man.

Ruined it by cutting up the wheel wells, plus it's Automatic anyways. I bet a lot of idiots feel the same way about my Camry, too bad I don't care about feelings especially if it's my car. I didn't cut up my fenders and Rear wheel well, in fact I plan to get new wheels with natural fitment no wheel spacers. I had to replaced my Right Front wheel bearing from driving around with a wheel adaptor that was 20mm. I'm going lower with different Coilovers, currently sitting on BC Racing Coilovers Extreme drop maxed out in the Front and a 2 inch dropped at the Rear.
