It's time to trade my GoPro for a more professional underwater camera rig. In today's episode we complete the camera tray, arms and install the Inon Z-330 underwater strobe light with fiber optics cable.

For fiber optic cables I use home audio fiber cables. I believe back scatter has little adapters for It. This way you can custom cut the cables to length you need. You just use a razor blade to cut the fiber optic cable. When I make mine up they don't cost me more than $3 or $4 per cable.

Great follow up video! I don’t have strobes yet and I’m actually looking into that same one! Love it! Look forward to the shots you get. Please do both video and still photos if possible. I thought about doing what you’re doing and getting 1 video light and 1 strobe but don’t get a lot of validation about that from people I’ve asked. I’m keen to see how your setup will turn out because I’ll probably end up doing the same if it all goes well with you!! Thank you !

We've agonized for a week on building our rig, from camera to float arms and after many many many many hours and daily research we settled on basically an identical rig except that we are hoping to go with the orcatorch 5K lights instead of a strobe light. Wish I found your videos a week ago, it would have saved me so much time but I'm glad to get confirmation that we are making the right choice! Quick question: Where do you your tray and connectors? Thank you so so so much for this. Now we also have a go pro 8 so I'm going to binge watch the rest of your channel :)

Hey Nick, I have been using the sea frogs for the gh5 for almost a year now. But i cant figure why did you purchased 2 float arms if the case has extremely positive bouyancy, is there a reason for that or those arms give weight instead?I have been searching for some weights to add but i couldt find some. Also what strobes do you recommend? I have a Video light big blue vp4200 for video but i need something else for photos or maybe another light would make the job? And other point that I wanted to told you is to buy the vacuum pump, it has been very helpful for me at least and gives a lot of security at the moment of the dive. Hope it helps! cheers

Hey sir. I have a question regarding the buoyancy of the whole rig. Currently I’m using Sony a6000 in seafrogs a6xxx housing, 6” dome port and KitDive aluminum double handle tray. I’ve ordered 2x inon z240 strobes, but I’m quite confused about the arms. Since the current setup is approximately 1kg positively buoyant, I’m worried to add float arms. As you mentioned that strobes are pretty heavy on land, but what about UW? I’ll be very happy to get some details from you :) btw, very valuable videos, well done 👍

The float arms are definitely useful for the strobes, but the housing is indeed 1-2 lbs positive. So you'll have to play around with it to get it neutral really
