The Vaydor build continues as we finish up bonding of the main body shell, and tying up some loose ends. I also start fitting the doors, trunk lid, priming the body shell and getting the first few trim pieces ready for paint.

Can’t wait for part 5 ! This has been the most detailed and proper custom build I’ve ever seen thus far. Every thing carefully thought out over and over for safety, quality fit and execution is superb. Badass !

@@latenightdiy1496 hopefully one day I can get the opportunity to fabricate and build my own e46 kit. Your knowledge and explanation goes beyond just this. Can’t wait for the next upload, just subscribed!!

@@brandonfox9085 That’s awesome and what is the e46 kit? I used to have an e46 BMW and I loved it. Is there something that they build for that car? But yes, I try to explain techniques that can carry over to many projects and I typically use them a lot as well.

@@latenightdiy1496 thing is there is no e46 kit. They have facelifts but I think I’ll be the first person to create my own so I’m doing my research with how fiberglass is used and can be manipulated while using Artificial Intelligence to create my design into a more modern look on a 2000-2006 chassis. Like the 2002 hommage with more sleekness. Who knows I’ll maybe start my own channel if I can get it to fruition

@@brandonfox9085 Oh I see what you’re saying like you want to design and build one. Yeah that would be awesome! I’ve thought about doing a complete custom build on an e36 but an e46 would probably be a better option. I owned both of them and loved them both.

Hard to say for sure but after everything I've done to build mine, I'd want the job to bring at least 100K.

i have seen a few videos about this build and no one ever uses a trunk lid hinge

I actually used the factory trunk lid hinges but used an actuator to open/close it.

Is it possible to make it a mid engine build?

I really like this question because it's definitely got me thinking. I'm sure anything is possible but I'd say you would want to build the whole chassis from scratch the way you want it, and build it to accept the Vaydor body. It probably wouldn't make any sense to start with a G35 in that case because the whole structure of the original car would need to be changed around and at that point, you'd end up with a car that was not only cut on top, but on bottom as well and it would be so much cleaner to just build the whole thing from scratch. Team up with a really experienced frame fabricator, preferably one who has experience building mid engine cars, and see what y'all could come up with. It would probably be the "truest" of the Vaydors out there because people couldn't give you that crap statement about it being "just a G35." Im gonna think on this some more and probably give you a shout out in the next Vaydor video to add more input there. Cheers!
