Just an armchair observation. A 2x4 stud is 1.25" wide. Your bracket looks wider than that and the screws hit the outside of the stud, not the middle. Maybe a piece of wood Horizontal that is .5" think. screwed to the 2x4 center studs. Then your brackets to the wood plate.

Those wide monitors are for people who are used to 2 display setups, but not for sim players or track-ir users. i'm certainly no expert, but i thought you'd have levelled the counter top the same way as you did your own. before putting the brackets on the wall. weird how you decided to pack the bracket with washers afterwards. fine from the top, but under the desk i'm sure you can tell one side is stacked with washers and one isn't. i do definitely think you should switch over those wall brackets on your own setup by replacing them with the same one's as your wife's. although unfortunately you'll have some holes to fill and disguise afterwards. didn't you have a white printer before? maybe i'm wrong. i think since you've already gone full send with everything white, the black printer has to go. definitely looking forward to the rest of this setup. it's going to be insane. ✊
