I really love how you manage the cables and made it invisible to have a clutter-free desk. Thanks for tips.

I had HomePod minis on my list as computer speakers for my M1 Mac mini (no speakers currently). I don't think I would last a day with that lag. It looks like my hand me down HomePods are going in the kids rooms and I'll just get real speakers one day. That setup looks like it would work well with the M2 Pro Mac mini. I was using Display link to get a third monitor for my setup, but it caused some issues, so I went down to two monitors (HDMI and Thunderbolt). I love resolve with three monitors (full screen timeline is so helpful), so I've been using my iPad as my program monitor.

Tried the homepod mini for a speaker for my Mac studio and I hated it because there's definitely a delay on playback

Get a audio interface for $100 then Adams Audio TV5 for speakers. $400 and you have 2 great sounding monitors. Video editors need to really consider audio. Especially when Audio is 51% of your video. Those little speakers hurt my feelings. lol You would be better off getting one decent computer monitor and another crappy one and spending the extra cash on speakers. Trust me I edited feature films that way and it got me off the ground running.

Michael, appreciate the videos and content! Here is an industry question. How can someone become an intern part time to gain the experience needed? I’ve created tutorial videos for my job. I enjoy the editing and creative process a lot! I’m looking to earn my expanded experience so that i can turn editing into a side business, and maybe one day a full time one! Any advise, points, would be very appreciated!

Hi there! we just inherited a desktop computer and I was wondering if it would be worth turning it into a video editing computer. It has a smaller housing, so I would have to see if it would fit an upgraded gpu. I will have to add ram as well. My main concern is the CPU. I would be using davinchi resolve, and if needed, I would think about using the Studio version, which pulls more from the GPU than the CPU. I would take the ram from 8 to 32gb ddr4. I know some basic things, but I am reaching out to someone who knows better to see if it would be worth trying to upgrade or just start a new build. The specs are as follows, and I really appreciate your time! HP desktop pc 570-p0xx Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-7100 CPU @ 3.90GHz 3.90 GHz 2 core Ram 8.00 GB (7.89 GB usable) Mother Board HP 82f2 A01
