After coming across the Mud Mixer I've thought about this myself. I feel as though a better version could be made, which mixes and pours cement at a faster rate.

Thanks for sharing. I’m attempting a build my self but bigger Using battery gun great idea keeping it simple. I think your water system is too small because you are limiting your supply One day you may want to max its production of concrete you’ll need all the water you can get

Is the tube the auger goes in that has the cutout and the end that has water holes Gray schedule 40 pvc or is it steel? Looks like the gray schedule 40 since it has the flanged/expanded end to slide over the outlet of the hopper.

This is a nice mudmixer DIY. While I know those HF drills are cheap, I'd try to find a treadmill or something with an electric motor that someone sets out for trash day and scavenge the motor from it. You need a larger motor on that thing for any larger projects. Also, it would probably allow you to have a better dial to control the speed. Nice work! I'd love to have some sort of cnc cutter like that. I was a mechanical designer for 20+ years, so I can design in Solidworks and other CAD software, so would be easy to create some DIY stuff to cut. I recently came across another DIY mixer that a guy made in a propane tank and with a fence post type auger and it was powered by a tractor PTO shaft. I really like that idea because my dad has 2 tractors and just the increased volume you could mix would be great. If you or anyone else is interested, here it is, but unfortunately, there isn't much detail on the build like yours has. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y3yTlKF3aZmep5I

I've also started buying parts to try my hand at building my own...I was going to buy the Mud Mixer ...I've had it in my cart multiple times...most recently a week ago...with the free hopper extension and including the add-on chute. With tax and shipping to Kansas it was over $3700. I would love to just buy one but can't justify it at that price point. That's why I'm so thankful for videos like this one! Great job and thanks for sharing your ideas! Really appreciate it!
