I grew up on a chicken farm, my dad used 5 gallon buckets laid on their side and stacked 2, 3 and 4 high. He cut the bucket's lid leaving about 30 to 50% to make a lip to hold in the straw. The hens loved them.

Howdy Brother- I built the laying nest box on the outside of the coop with the chickens access on the inside. I put a slanted lid on hinges on the top. Easy to get the eggs and change out the straw. Hope y’all are doing well. God’s blessings to y’all

One of my roosters use to like to sit in nest box with hen. He was a huge Dominique. Never broke an egg. 😅

I had four hens and four nest. They seemed to favor only two of the nests. I moved and left them there for the new owners but I still miss my hens 😢

Milk cows paw mac milk cows!! How you train them. Keep them from kicking. Anything milk cow related. By the way you should run for president.
