Building our Little Pool Deck

We finally finish building the backyard pool deck and it turned out perfect. We managed to finish it in a day after the post were set. My wife was so much help and we could not have built the pool deck in a day without using the new framing nailer.

Good work - may I however suggest to your viewers to use WPC = wood plastic composite decking instead of wood, as it is much more resistant to water and sunlight, and because it has a non-slip surface.

We use Clorox and some other chemicals. We have a video coming out soon on how we found an easy way to test the pool and keep all the levels correct

We used a few bags a quickcrete. Probably did it all wrong, but it works and has held up this far rather well. I think we have a video about it. On the channel somewhere.

Awesome! I have the exact same pool and we just finished our deck. Tomorrow we’re going to try to drill a hole that fits the diameter of the ladder’s poles so we can enter the pool from the deck. Going to have one side of the ladder inside of the pool and the other side underneath the porch, with the support rails still on top of the deck.

Lay TV i cut one side of the ladder off just below the platform so the legs only stuck out about 3 inches. I then drilled a couple holes into a leftover 4x4 post and set the cut off legs into it then screwed it to the deck. That way I didn’t have to drill into the deck and we could move it easily if we wanted to.

how much of a gap is between the end of the deck and the pool? And can you put maybe like something between it so kids don't accidentally get stuck in the gap (unless you did something for it already)?
