I recently got back from Ghana, West Africa for vacation and was inspired to build an easy ground level deck (also knowns as a floating deck) so that I could make my backyard feel like I was still on vacation! The screening has been amazing! I haven't noticed any bugs crawling around, either. Well, the bug guy (exterminator) did spray around the perimeter, but even before he sprayed, it seemed like it was doing its job! :)

It's really easy to build. Just make sure that it's level. And use the screening! I haven't noticed any bugs, either!

The pergola was soooo amazing! I really wish I could cover my gazebo in vines, just like the hotel had. The hotel had other quaint seating areas, too, covered in vines, and it really was magical when sitting under them. :) Thank you for watching, Marie!

I used Sketchup! It's free, and there is a paid version. But you can do it with the free version. Just google it and create a free account. It's a bit of a learning curve to using it, but you can take online tutorials. I'm thankful I put the time into learning the basics of it. I used LinkedInLearning.com to do a course on how to use SketchUp and it was pretty helpful!
