I remember initially ignoring these videos because they weren't "how to paint [miniature]" videos, but once I started binging your content on account of enjoying what you do as much as I do, I realized just how much of a mistake I'd made ignoring them. I'm glad to see that you've finally soldiered through, and brought the results to us. If it is an consolation to you, this has inspired me personally to start work for a Nostromo-styled board for Kill Team (since that's the only thing anyone around here is willing to play) with a friend, replete with busted and flashing lights, emergency reds whirring around, and dark moody corridors. As much as this Moon Hopper project of yours may have worn down on you, or nagged at you, never underestimate your ability to inspire and encourage those people who do watch your videos, Mr. Doctor Faust (of the eponymous Painting Clinic). You're one of the best around.

The lights can be part of the story. Captain told Private Snuffy to synchronize the landing lights, but Private Snuffy couldn't remember how, so he reset the entire system. Now Captain is angry because ALL the lights are out of sync, and other ships keep on hailing him to let him know that his lights are out of sync.

The model and base look fantastic, you must be very pleased. You can get separate lazy susan bearings on Ebay for £3-4 for a 4" one. That size would be fine for placing under the foam base that you have done.

Love it - and I'm so grateful you decided to make a vlog about this build, because it was effin awesome to see. But the more I see about Pegasus models, the less I want to build them, because they seem to be a pain in the ass...

G'day Doc,..........love your work . I would have loved to do this one ,....unfortunatly it was to expensive , so have settled for the 1/8 EVA Pod from 2001 a space odyssey , it is also a rather large kit with lighting challenges lol ....you never know , i might still do the Mars lander one day ........................ somehow Cheers

Personally, I like your Sci-Fi models as much as your figure painting, so I really enjoyed this! I had as much tedium w/ the Fine Molds Millennium Falcon.

so i can see its main lift/cruise thrusters, and the thrust nozzles on the side would enable it to translate forward backward, left, right, up and down. they could be used to control yaw and roll too.... but i cannot for the life of me see how this thing would control its pitch! am i missing something because otherwise it looks so grounded and "realistic"?

An amazing job! Been forever since I played with paper mache pulp. I'll have to remember that. P.S. What varnish did you use to seal in the pigments?
