I guess is not rainy season and is summer when you built this shelter. I understand that above ground is safer because some wild animals can't get to your but for extra protection a couple of small logs or branches as walls would've been better. Just saying.....

Don’t quite get the purpose of this “shelter”. Would no be good for rain/snow or cold and was rather labor intensive to build
