It is truly a gift to see more women teachers of faith. I grew up with a distorted image of women in islam because of their lack. I was always tired only hearing about hijab when it comes to women in Islam as if it’s my only sought after value and nothing else matters.

AssalamuAlaikum I Apologize this is so long, I have never typed so much in a comment section. But I've never learned so much vital information in one podcast. SupanAllah !!! Shukran to the two guest speakers and the host you did an excellent job in discussing topics that other people are just ignoring. I am a Muslim woman and have learned by watching Imam Omar Suleiman about the vital roles women companions and wives and daughter of our prophet Muhammad pbuh, played in the very beginning and throughout time. He pointed out that there is not a verse in the Quran that says women cannot call the adhan or teach, for example. These women were spot-on about the way cultures, other religions, and philosophies have entered in to the practice of Islam that our prophet Never taught and is not in the Quran. Every umah and masjid would be doing the most beneficial thing for their community by returning to the original teachings which requires learning about them. There's so much propaganda in the western Muslim communities about the oppression of women in Islam that should not be in our practice but women all over have lived it. It was not our prophet's way -in one generation he was able to put an end to horrific practices towards women Because it was Allah's will. We as a umah must filter out the misinformation that has seeped into our practices. This is as important as memorizing the Qur'an in order to preserve the truth of it. The sister's were right, this is not a movement of feminism, it is a return to what actually happened in the community when the Quran was revealed to prophet Muhammad pbuh. Allah established his love for both men and women and what He wanted to changed in society. we know these changes made many people angry at the prophet and the first followers. I haven't learned about all the women the sisters taught about in this podcast, but I am going to access that knowledge. Just like we teach about all the medicine, science, inventions , medical procedures, that came from Muslims and it makes our children and us proud. We need to learn about the truth of the Muslim woman from the beginning till now, women are the first teachers to their children, shouldn't we be teaching our women correctly? And of course our men too.Imagine what the Umah would look like and how confident and strong we would be with women empowered , treated as equal, and set free from the bondages of society practices. Just as Allah intended through the instructions of the Quran and the practices of Muhammad pbuh. Islam is beautiful and women would not be leaving this religion if they were treated the way the prophet treated Khadijah and his wives and daughter. I want to live in those places that the sister talked about where it is normal for a woman to be a public reciter of the Quran and a scholar and teacher. Brother no matter what backlash you get for you doing these podcast, Allah has blessed you with the idea that it needs to be done and the means to do it. Continue InshaAllah . Think of your daughters and even imagine if you were a woman what kind of society would you want to live in? Like the one Allah intended and did correct 1400 years ago. Shukran JazakAllah Khair may Allah reward you & the sister Speakers.💞

This is soo needed. I was a muslim and became a non muslim just by reading and listening to rigid male muslim scholars about women in Islam. Alhamdulillah Allah guided me. But this is very serious I have recently seen 2 women doubt their faith just like I did and 2 muslim women with youtube channels making animated and informative videos being bashed by these unempathatic, rude egoistic muslim scholars and muslim men. We need to teach men and women both that women are a source of Allah"s Rahma and peace in this world in every shape wife, daughte,sister and mother.

Apologies but what kind of faith did you have that you could easily lose it or doubt it. The problem is not in others but in our own weakness in faith and understanding.

@@YasmineSay719you have one of the many problematic mindset in our communities. People can lose faith and regain it and there’s nothing wrong with that. This sister just discussed how some scholars or social media ones at least can push people far from our deen. Yet you’re here criticizing her about her faith. Maybe she was young. Stop acting like a saint and be proud that she overcame that mindset. Ughh 😒😒😒 your comment was disrespectful to the fact that she is now regaining knowledge.

Men are favoured by Allah. They have been given more its Allahs Fazal on them. But what about women. They might have not given physical power but extremely hounerd by Allah. We men dont have Rahm(womb) in our bellies. Every women is gifted and hounerd with (womb) Rahm which Allah All Mighty named it Himself after His beautiful name, The Most Merciful. Sure there are bad women just like bad men because we are all humans but the entire extistence of a women surrounds arround Rahma peace tranquility and surely Allah loves His female slaves.

No. Men have been given a degree of authority and responsibility over women. That's all. Not favor. Well u can call it a favor but then women are given motherhood so even we can call it a favor. This way we are equal in terms of God's favor upon us. God doesn't have a favor one gender over other, both are equal to him.

It’s important to talk about this topic but how about just getting everyone to come to masajid and teaching everyone to love Allah. Attendance is horrible in most masajids but we’re stuck on women’s issues. Sorry I couldn’t continue listening to this podcast. Too much complaining.
@deedeee6271 Жыл бұрын
"getting everyone to come" isn't really possible if a masjid doesn't make space for women (I'm assuming that by everyone you meant women too). Or if they feel so alienated that they feel they are not welcome. Your statement isn't thoughtful at all.
@YasmineSay719 Жыл бұрын
@@deedeee6271 let’s not complain but inspire. How about just educating women instead of focusing on alienation. Whether she’s at home or in the masjid or anywhere, she can worship her Lord and now access to Islamic education is much easier. Alhamdulillah. I’ve never felt alienated anywhere.
