Someone already pointed out that the Caladria was healing at the beginning, but since you seem to get confused by this nearly every cast of a game with Atlanteans: Turning units into heroes does not heal them anyway. Only doing it with the God Power of Prometheus heals the unit. So if an Atlantean unit suddenly gets fully healed it's one of two options: A) Caladria heal B) Prometheus God Power

Ya - it's because I always pick Prometheus and the UI for casting sometimes doesn't show the correct health values depending on the player perspective.

@@FitzBro Also, I think you can switch the player colors by clicking or right clicking on their portraits, so that you won't mix up the red player with the blue one. I saw yodesla doing that.

from the moment ragnarok was casted till it arrived at his base he had so much time to fortify his base, get some hero arcus to snipe giants and get upgrades for his units. Make couple walls and towers and cast shockwave and it would be easy.

Also he made only Contarius, which sucks at dealing with infantry. Arcus and a few cheirobalistas with anything in front of them would be way better

At 4:15 The Caladria healed the oracle to full hp, it was already a hero (which is why it could fight)

This the burst heal is a global spell(atleast you can cast it almost globally) the continous heal the caladria need to be in range

Bee needed to make Arci (plural of Arcus) to combat the mass melee. AC would have really had no answer for that. Oh well, gg. Atlanteans need help, bro. Lol

I think the atlantean needs more impactful god powers at age 2 and 3

The idea is that they have ‘weaker’ god powers but very cheap to recast, compared to other civs, and I like this concept. (In the original game they were the only civ that could recast god powers).

And then theres the myth units case where they get very crappy age 2 myth units that cost 1/3 of other civ and you suppose to manage a push of 2 greek hero and a myth unit from 5 min with a couple bad myrmillos with extra cost to heroize them and a 2 shotted myth unit?

@@Soupy_bass Thing is their army in retold is absolutely bad for the cost, thus their hero version sucks too and you can't lean on the myth unit either because most of them are quite bad, low cost sure, but bad.

Rag defense : archer spam + tower spam Walls around gold Fortress x2 on gold with possible towers....or 3x sky passages on gold throughout map could work Need more production too.

Honestly, it's difficult to find a good strategy with Oranos. He doesn't really have any specialties or bonuses aside from sky passages and greater LOS. With Gaia you can boom eco and with Kronos you have myth units and siege along with timeshifting.

The sky passages help if you use them for literally everything but if you don’t then youre at a massive disadvantage. Good for Hunt since you can tp away instantly. Good for pushing TC’s for the same reason. Sneaking a passage behind your opponent with a cheeky citizen is more doable now since each Citizen is only worth 2 villies instead of 3, so you’re giving up less income to walk them over.

@KirkPwns yeah but you're limited on how many you can build now. Personally I prefer to use them more defensively by building one near my expansions or forward bases.

I love to have map control with the sky passages. And they are even better in team games (you can attack with your ally or help him with the sky passage)

@@zenologic7786 Then do that. But they cost a cheap amount favor and have decently good build speed so they can gain versatility. Also 5 isnt much of a limit lol if you have more than 5 bases you need to tp between then you’ve already won pretty much.

@4:25 you being zoomed in, you could not see the caladria. I know it was there because the valk had the red aura indicating slow effect. So the caladria slowed the valk and then burst healed the oracle.

Good cast. Plural of arcus is arcus by the way, not arci (check in any latin dictionary). It is of the fourth declension, not the second.

Heroize is prometheus only lol for the heal. Multiple games I've seen you misattribute Caladria healing to that. Great cast overall tho just couldn't help but let you know about that haha

Great content to watch as a fellow Atlantean-lover!(Do thoroughly enjoy Gaia, but wanted to look at Kronos) ; It's my first RTSI'mreally trying to watch what people are doing and am super interested in! However, I find myself stricken with huge anxiety to hit any form of actual ladder, sort of stuck in just, learning some consistency only vs. AI opponents so far. I know this might be the wrong place to ask, but considering there's probably some well ranking people in here too watching: How did you people deal with these situations? Did you relentlessly practice beforehand? E.g. figure out a basic starting build to get down pretty consistently and taking that as a baseline? I cant find myself confident enough at all to just jump on ladder, thinking i'd jsut get compeltely rolled over(And I'd still want to go as ideally Gaia, since I just enjoy the idea of the early eco bonuses you can research, or alternatively utilizing the reduced hero citizens early to use them also helping in early myth defence and attempt to snowball some form of heroic age power spike with things like stymphalian birds?)

Well, if you fight them under a Hill Fort for no reason it surely is... Bee should have either jumped on a group when they were still split (best option). Orif he doesnt do that he should have waited in his base. I think he could have easily won this.

since the atleanteans tend to be weaker in the early game, I think allowing them to train arci and contarius in classical age would help balance things out 🤔 It wouldn't be a straight up buff, and would still cost resources/require strategy, but it basically allows them to have proper counter units/mobility earlier on 🤔 If memory serves Me right, these two units were trainable at classical age in AoM legacy anyway

Classical Arcii would be amazing tbf. I’ve been playing a lot of Egypt recently, love Atlantean but I feel like you gotta Fast heroic to get Arcii to balance your army out or you’re at a disadvantage. Even with counter units the onus is on you to micro better even with a stronger force.

Ragnarok seems like a god power that does not belang in a properly balanced AOM. It's a complete all-in god power. Overwhelm your opponent, you win. Lose your force, you also lose all your gatherers and it's an autoloss. Way too polarizing of a god power imo.

The heroes of ragnarok units are pretty much buffed up hersir as well 🤔 It might be more balanced if they were slightly less strong than any other norse unit? And to not make it an autoloss if the attack fails, maybe double the rate of production of villagers for a minute or two (or the rest of the game) so there is possibility to have a basic economy going again by the time the enemy can come back to attack You? 🤔

I feel like Norse and Greek are the only ones with a strong classical age. With Egyptian and Atlantean, you absolutely want to go fast heroic every time and never build classical army.

I think out of all the god powers, this sky passage is broken asf. in the old game you could place this down only if you have live vision of the area, i've noticed you can place it anywhere you have explored.... Well, Legendary bots just got easier now lmao, as Hades I just drop my army in the middle of enemies bases now and every time the ability resets I can instantly teleport the mob LOL! if I spam units through it they can't do anything and their base is sacked, can't wait to surprise my mates xD

Sky Passage is a building, since you are talking about Hades I assume you are referring about the Underground Passage, which is a god power from Apollo
