@@mathieuferlandkozicz1335 I’m not sure I would agree. Hyman has scored 50, and Bennet has two seasons where he’s scored 20+. Hyman has more playoff goals (35) than Bennett (25) in 80 something games for both of them, plus Hyman has current playing chemistry with McDavid and not, we played together 12 years ago chemistry.

Balanced but I don’t like it. US is loaded with offense, we need to load up two lines imo. scheifele is a liability. Not interested in lafreniere, I want more jam so Verhaeghe. In fact that fourth line could be all Panthers forecheck, no sitting back like in past tourneys. I don’t even mind Bennett as 4C. But this could work too- there are many possible approaches

Bedard-McDavid-Stone Marchand-Crosby-MacKinnon Verhaeghe-Bennett-Reinhart Konecny-Suzuki-Point Extra Scheifele or Marner Note: Hyman has great chemistry with McDavid and hes a hard worker but hes pretty slow for best on best(we need youth and speed) so I think Bedard on wing with McDavid is a no brainer, also with Stone. The Nova Scotia line is obvious and a full Panthers line too(unbeatable mix of chemistry and skill). Then the fourth line, Horvat and Barzal are off to a slow start so Konecny and Point should get their shot instead. If rosters were chosen later in the year lineups might change but the way it is now these players are leading the way.

It’s not ludicrous, you have to build a 4th line like a 4th line. You don’t just throw the best offensive players out there. It has to be a checking, defensively reliable center there. Also even if we are talking offense, Suzuki has 1 less point than Scheifele. Easy pick in my opinion

And I prefer Marner and reinhart on the 3rd line shut down maybe with mark stone. Mcdavid will be his passer and Hyman will be good along the boards and front of the net. I don’t think u understand how good this next generation of players is they are so skilled and age doesn’t matter with them

You’re really underestimating the defensive upsides of marner. He’s been on a top penalty kill his whole career. One of the best PK’s this year. He’s even filled in on defence when players were out with injury. He’s also a good playmaker, not the best in the world but he’s solid. He’s also been decent for the leafs in the playoffs. You need some defence on your top line. I’m not a leaf’s fan, but marner gets a lot more hate than he deserves.

Nugent Hopkins sucks. He is a McDavid coattail rider and gets most of his points on the PP and doesn’t even average a point a game except for one season. And he isn’t even good defensively. He is nowhere close at the top of any defensive stats every year. Hyman shouldn’t be there either as he is past his prime and last year was a one off. He is terrible this year.
