Nice! I saw your post to the Amel Owner's forum on this and wondered if there would be more details on how you did this... I have been trying to figure out where you got the panels, etc... so this is very helpful! A few Amel 54's I've looked at (I'm in the market) have shown water damage around there so I agree it was one of the few things Amel could have done better.

Hello Steve, Since we own our boat now for 4 years, we still love it. AMEL build a great concept, based on decades of experiance and refinement of this boat type. We are also very happy with the ketch rigging, so many ways to set the sails, we had a much better performance and answers to the different weather situations when crossing the Atlantic, than on our sloop before. And easy to handle. The technical devices on this boat are perfectly matched to the boat and each other. As I also work on other yachts, I saw lots of bad arangements on other brands. I have not heard other Amel owners complain about this. I’d like to hear from any owners about this.
