Hi everyone! Here's first video of the year. I know little bit late, I will try to upload a beginner level scale modeling video soon. Cheers!

I've been out of the navy for a few decades, that's the best rendition I've ever seen! But isn't that a Crusader, the Corsair had the entire wing assembly lift up in the front. Or did my backwards memory flip things around on me again?

A superlative work, of a professional, leaves us with an open mouth.

wow, very impressive. not an easy build. detail looks pretty close to perfect. Hasegawa makes great kits. this is one of them built by a master. That is definitely the way they looked.

I was a flight deck troubleshooter aboard USS Nimitz in the early '80s, assigned to VS-24. You've done an amazing job with this Marauder, another one of the squadrons that was on Nimitz. The weathering is spot on (no pun intended).

There are people who do modeling and then there's artists who go above and beyond what most would consider modeling and you sir are one of those kind of modelers who exhibit talent and skill that takes modeling to a whole new level. Thank you for all your time and effort that goes into making both the models so amazing and also the quality of your video's are so of the best that I've seen here on KZbin. I really appreciate what you're doing and I hope your channel will continue to grow because more people need to see what really can be done with the modeling process if you have the talent and skills to accomplish it. So please keep up the AWESOME work and I'll keep coming back for more and sharing your video's with as many people as I possibly can. 👊😉👍

Man, I built that kit in 1989!! I recall taking thin copper, draping two small pieces over a hemostat, which created a U shape, then attaching them to the canopy to make them appear as handles. I was so proud of my first attempt at improving a kit canopy. Anyways, your kit looks great. Very well done!!

I was in VA-82 and we never allowed the planes to look that dirty. When we got into port the line duty section would wash the aircraft and when at sea we would use waterless cleaner or if we could when allowed use water, we would wash the aircraft using water and a cleaning agent. They were kept as clean as possible at sea and land. Corrosion is a big thing with Naval aircraft because of the salt environment at sea. But even on land corrosion is a big problem. Aluminum corrodes easily if not kept clean an well preserved. Even the carbon fiber and aluminum Aircraft are cleaned for same reason CORRSION and looks.

Let me add that was in the mid 70's

VFA-82 was the sister squadron to VFA-105, they always got the NEW aircraft before us, they were 2nd to last when the navy transitioned to The Hornets. At least into LOT 13 great times i had 105 glad i didn't have to work on those dinosaurs

A fantastic result on a model of a very competent and special attack aircraft. The A-7 Corsair II was a kind of predecessor to today's mighty A-10 Thunderbolt II, which actually flew for the first time in 1972. The concept was definitely correct and very successful :)

A-maz-ing job as per usual. Every aspect of your vids are full of tips, information and visual effects. The process is perfectly explained without the long dialogue which makes watching your work an absolute pleasure.....no fast forwarding to skip over bits or switching off after 10 minutes of useless talking. I really look forward to your creations and can't wait to see what's next!!

I think you're builds are great but what I like most of your videos are the useful tips (small and big) you show on camera: much better than any written explanation!
@jefferysharp33687 ай бұрын
As a former A-7E avionics technician, nice job! The only “realism” suggestion I would like to offer is this: the ball in the l/h forward avionics bay is a LOX bottle and they are always green. Also, you are missing the scuff marks from the flight deck boots that we wear. They would be more prominent along the top of the fuselage.

Absolutely brilliant, you have such a great talent; you're making me want to pick up my brushes again! One of these was my first ever Hasegawa kit and I loved it. It is still one of the best kits out there, certainly for the Corsair. Thanks again

This is amazing. I will settle for this whilst I dream of an F8 Edit: and if it was an F8 in the process of landing on a carrier with half flaps and the wing fully extended I would shed a tear of pure joy. Just saying

Fantastic build. I miss this era of USN aircraft, there were some beautiful schemes.
@Shrike585 жыл бұрын
Good stuff; I might note that I had a college classmate who served on USN carriers in the 1970s as part of the deck crew and they hated the A-7. If you didn't have your wits about you you could get sucked into the engine inlet and my friend and his comrades were lucky to save a man to who almost suffered this fate!

Results are great. But yes, I'm not sure for that replacement of electronic bays. These for cockpit must be used, but rest need only some improvements. However, in the end, it looks perfect, also, your tips with sanding are very useful, and also paint techniques are perfect. Thanks for video, great and difficult model! All the best for You! ;)

Thanks for the feedback. Yes! If I would build it again; I will use only the cockpit set. I agree details are awesome but spending 20+ hours for fitting, sanding etc.

Hello Rahmi! Nice to have you back! These planes are big... But I always had a soft spot for Crusader and Corsair. Excellent result, working on light colours is as difficult as working on black and you managed to get a convincing appearance.

Hi Radu, thank you! As you mentioned I was worry about weathering this paint scheme. I built this as a test bad for my precious Grand Phoneix 1:48 F3H. I will try to build it in this year.

I'm agreeing with a lot of the other commenters, great job, but I wouldn't have used the resin electronics bays, they didn't look enough better to me for the work they caused. But, I didn't see them in person, you did, and it's your video! And there's no way I'll be trying your post shading method any time soon, I'd mess it up for sure! I'm amazed by your airbrush control. Couple of accuracy things: I believe you have the main wheels too splayed. I think they should be straight up and down even under load. Also, the stripes you have painted on the sidewinders are on the clamps that hold the fuse to the warhead and seeker head, they are shiny bare metal. The yellow stripe would be behind the band you've got painted yellow, it indicates the live high explosive warhead. There would also be a brown stripe farther back on the body of the missile indicating a live rocket motor. I don't know about the black stripe, that depended on which model of sidewinder it was, the one's I'm familiar with didn't have any black stripes. One more thing for what it's worth, the seeker head on sidewinders is anodized green metallic. The shade may be from close to black to olive, but it always has a metallic sheen. I used to load them on F-16s. Oops, I think I see one more thing, the TERs may be mounted back to front. I can't see them well enough to be sure but it looks like the ejector cartridge holders are facing forward, that's the things with cables on them leading from the main body of the rack out to the three bomb stations.
@Scaleaton5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback! I fixed that TERs I also will change the loadout later.

What a great build. Very very nice. I noticed a lot of different techniques, that I didn't see before or thought about. Very helpfull. I'll be spending some more time on your channel. P.S. I just noticed one thing at the end of the video. The bomb racks seems to be the wrong way around. There is a curved wire at the tip of the rack now, that should normally be at the back. Just flip them around 180 ;)

I remember buying a resin cockpit set, gun bays and wheel bays for my He-162 kit. Only used the gun bays in the end because they weren't compatible with one another despite being the same manufacturer. The gun bay corners would interfere with the cockpit corners and wouldn't fit.

As fir the Aries resin and being worth it I would say it kinda depends on what your looking for. I know the avionics bay on the hase. kit are really good, and can build OOB. However if you want a little more detail in showing off your work then to me yes they are worth it. Aries have always been decent for me even if they coast as much as the model I am building sometimes hehe. I think the biggest improvement with the bay is the doors to it will show a lot more of the structure. Not that you can't scratch build it. Just sometimes I am lazy and just want to spend a little extra money for a better result in the end.

Because I've only just found your channel, you're well finished with this one: With hindsight, I would only have used the cockpit set as the avionics & wheel bays are just fine, the Douglas Escapac seat is pretty basic in real life and in this kit only needs the harnesses added. I will be building mine (my fourth) later this year. Best from NZ.
