I love everything about this model and can't wait to build it! The only thing I wish was that the keel bottom was completely filled in. In my opinion it would have just made this model perfect! I understand why they didn't and do have to say it is nice if you end up having to secure some tabs to have that open access from underneath to work with. Great review and definitely gives me more confidence in this build! I also bought the Lego Titanic and if your able to highly recommend doing a review of it. Especially because I love your content and think you would do it's justice from one Titanic enthusiast to another!

I built one of these beauties! Very challenging as I ended up finding alternative ways to attach some of the smaller parts and would recommend these little info tidbits here... even if this model employs the usual tab and slot connection methods (twist or bend 90°), builders may find it useful now and then by using UV resin in very small amounts, cured by UV light to assure a good connection. For example, those pesky deck cranes and the rigging. Just a suggestion, but it can save some frustration!

I like to use the little magnets that look like push pins to pick up the really small pieces. They work great especially if you lose a small piece on the mat or on the floor.

Great project. Going to build it myself. Curious as to where I can purchase a substantial tab bending tool that you use

Unfortunately at the moment we have to purchase it as a kit on Amazon or Alibaba. If you look up 3-D metal model tools, it should pop up with a mandrel set.
