Euro RC is the BangGood of 2021, sponsoring RC to the point of annoyance.
@RCKickschannel3 жыл бұрын
EuroRC have been fantastic in helping RC KZbinrs. I wish more RC companies understood the value of advertising on RC online media like this. Everyone always says, support the physical RC stores but most of them just don’t want to invest £100-£200 to reach 9,000-18,000 RC fans and don’t see it as worth it. It’s the cheapest way to advertise an RC business by miles and drive traffic to your website. It also really helps lower the RC channel running costs as I couldn’t have purchased a kit at this level on the channel income alone. Everyone wins, the RC viewers with more free content, the RC business getting more exposure and sales and the RC channels lower running costs.

Tips for the suspension. Get rid of the springs in the dampers as you did. Buy the red leaf springs from RC4WD partnumber Z-S0570. These is wooping 35% softer than the stock spring. Alternative is to buy the soft springs for the Trail Finder 2 which is 25% softer than the Tamiya HL springs. Those has item number Z-S0518. When you fit the leaf spring to the axle fit 3mm o rings and a washer on top of the leaf spring. Makes so the leaf spring can move in the sadle so you get more articulation. Deffo get rid of the silver diff covers, they hang up on almost anything. The skid under the gearbox hangs up on most stuff, recomend not fitting that. That some of the stuff you can do help to make it better. Steering on these is not the greatest, much less than you are used to. Either replace the drivecup and dogbone with cvd if you cn find them. Or grind down the drivecups about 2mm and make a slot in the steering stopper casted in the end of axle so the steering arm moved more, but not so muc that the pin on he dogbone slips out of the drivecup. And deffo screw in the setscrew in the diff for locking it. It is useless without difflockers. You will find out that very fast when driving it for the first time. Rear steering makes these very tippy becuse of the high center of gravity due the heavy gearbox. So I do not recomend fitting that. But one thing I do highly recomend is straight axle adapters. Those bin the steering arms and cleans up the look of the rear axle. They are a bit thin on the grounds. But I had a mate 3d print some for me, which works very well. For that mod you need to grind off the stopper flange on the axle completly so the straight adapter can sit flush on the axle. RC4WD used to make those. Hope that is some tips that will make you enjoy driving this a bit more :-) PS: I have built these and the TLT based rigs for the last 15 years. Fun base for custom projects :-) Richard

Love the intro! Nice to get the whole family involved. I usually put some treadlock on one of many empty small plastic bags you get when building a kit instead of just on top of the workbench. I think it's great you keep the building mistakes in your videos. It gives the response to go looking in that manual again instead of forcing in some ill fitting part.

Yep you have to jump around more on these builds vs the cars. Parts from different bags is something you don’t see so much in the car kits.

Another great vid Gavin! As you will by now have seen in the manual, the 4 wheel steering setup comes with the kit, just a matter of connecting up some rods. Personally I built the car with the 4WS in place, but as I have locked the rear diff I'm going to go back to the fixed rear axle setup. Looks more realistic as well I think. I was kind of shocked to see that you didn't apply threadlock to each metal to metal connection, when you were closing up the gearbox for example. As I'm working with the MFC unit with vibration and all that on mine, I made sure to threadlock absolutely everything! I'm looking forward to the next installment on this build and I'm also eager to see how you are going to do the body! Keep up the good work!

This kit won’t do much running when done. A bit in the garden & in the house. I have much stronger crawler cars that I use. TRX4, upgraded CC-02 Benz as well as my new MST CFX. The F350 feels more like an engineering model that’s also an RC.
@sanderdevolder48053 жыл бұрын
@@RCKickschannel I agree, this kit is not a crawler. It's more for scale trail driving like your CC-02 G wagon, at least that's what I'm going to use it for.

I put some Traxxas oil shocks on it and used two leafs in the suspension it will get softer the more you use it and believe or not it can be made into a really nice trail truck . Also throw the tire and wheels in a lake and get some nice ones those tires get no traction on anything other then sitting still on a shelf .

Hello Gavin, I built this truck awhile ago. It is a fun build. I think you really need to enjoy building in order to be successful with this build. I did not upgrade the motor because I was worried a more powerful motor might damage the gears in this very complicated transmission . I was wondering, have you ever seen one of these trucks in the UK? I do have a Tamiya Citreon 2VC but I have never seen one here in the USA. Thoughts?
@davekim75733 жыл бұрын
the same transmission is in the tamiya semi truck i think. it's a great truck no doubt. but hard body is something that kinda keeps me off. after building a grand hauler, i never took it outside...since it's hard body...

I have been considering the HG P407 for a while now and unfortunately, the prices have gone through the roof. Including shipping it is now around $550 cdn. I'm now looking at one of these as it's only $499 (plus tax) cdn and is a much better vehicle. I know I have to buy servos and radio etc. My only holdback now is at 61, I don't know if I have the temperment for all the fiddley bits! hahah

Ah, a nice guide on how to build an RC car and get loads of little things wrong, or a typical RC Kicks build video as it's otherwise known. Maybe you should read the manual a bit more thoroughly? ;) Seriously though, I love watching these build videos, and I would love to get one of these kits to build, but a bit out of my price range.....
@RCKickschannel3 жыл бұрын
In my defence I’m filming while building kits and yes I make mistakes. I leave them in to show you can make mistakes and it’s not the end of the world. If someone is hesitant to try and feels more confident after watching the video, well I did my job 😀
@barrycheesemore29283 жыл бұрын
@@RCKickschannel Well, that's true. I love watching build videos, I find them really entertaining, and I can understand where you're coming from. Keep up the good work mate!!

@@barrycheesemore2928 Unfortunetly build videos take a long time to film and edit and the view numbers don't justify doing them unfortunately. I keep doing them as I enjoy them myself but unboxing and RTR kit videos get the same or more views. Thats why most RC channels move away from detailed builds over time.
