Hi, do you recommend the ehx silencer? i plan on getting a cheaper noisegate for my pedalboard (i have/had a fortin zuul+ which is great but way too expensive) so i'm thinking about either buying this or the tc sentry.

I've used the EHX silencer and it can be okay if it isn't super high gain and tight stuff you're after. However, the more you move into higher gain and modern territory, the less I'd recommend it. It's just too slow, unfortunately. Between it and the TC Sentry, the Sentry is the definitive winner, given its ability to go for specific frequencies and all that. It's pretty amazing, honestly, especially at that price point.

@@mammothaudioengineering well i play death metal mostly, old school and modern, it seems i might have to keep my zuul in that case, though i'm not too happy about it, it works great but way to expensive for a noisegate

@@krisania96 honestly, I'd rather keep the Zuul in your place, too. It's just too important for your sound. You'd really miss it if it's gone, especially with its key input functionality, I think.
