The B9 A4 2.0T is similar to the MK7 2.0T, but they are very different on the turbo setup. The Garrett PowerMax turbos are designed for transverse mounted 2.0T MQB platform engines and are not compatible with the the longitudinal mounted B9 2.0T MLB platform. However, we are currently looking at B9 2.0T turbo options for future tuning support.

I do not understand something why if the car have a 250bar fuel pump, and you retrofit and old fuel pump that the max pressure by factory is 200 bar, unless that modification increases the fuel pressure over 300+ bar the system stay at the same 250 bar...Please when you tune the car please show the fuel pressure so I can understand why you use an older version of the fuel pump.thabks and great all 3 videos..

@@ValerianusEustorgios increasing the piston on the hpp does not increase flow, increase pressure why is that because the physical dimension of the pump is not modified the piston is "compressing" more fuel into the same physical hard ware. On the other hand on the low pressure side you can change the whole fuel pump , line and Port injectors and keep the 8-10 bar pressure with increase of fuel flow...the high pressure side is limited by the fuel rail and injector. Replacing the piston on the hpp does not increase the flow because is limited by the physical dimension of the hpp fuel rail and DI. That why a 350bar system achieve 650hp with support hardware....high pressure side work completely different form the low pressure side.

@@skyhookproVolumetrically the stock MQB HPFP holds more fuel than the MLB hpfp, which is why the retrofit is needed. The hpfp upgrade kit takes the fuel pressure limit to 250 bar as the stock is 200 for the MQB pump. This is standard for all tuners that are taking these cars to e85 or stage 3.
@IEtuned4 ай бұрын
@skyhookpro Hey, happy to help clear this up. We change the B9. 2.0T (MLB) pump to a MK7 (MQB) pump housing so that we can upgrade it for ethanol with our MQB HPFP internal kit. The B9 2.0T pump is laser welded shut and can not be upgraded and in stock form the stroke volume can not keep up with the fuel demands of a performance ethanol/flex-fuel tune. Keep in mind, our larger HPFP pump internals do not increase pressure capacity, it increases volume and thus, flow capacity (the stroke volume is increased from 231mm^3 to 321mm^3 with our kit). Pressure is just a function of flow being forced into a static volume (such as a fuel rail), so all the HPFP pumps can operate at 200, 250, or even 300 bar of pressure -but our larger HPFP internals flow higher at the same pressure. Also, it's important to note that these pumps do not operate at 100% duty cycle all of the time, they bypass any amount of the stroke during low fuel consumption to regulate pressure since flow in must equal flow out. The goal with upgrading the pump is to avoid rail pressure from dropping. To maintain fuel pressure, fuel in must equal fuel out (HPFP in = injector out), if fuel consumption from injection is higher than what the HPFP can deliver, this is when rail pressure drops. By installing an MQB HPFP with our HPFP upgrade, we are able to increase the max available flow so that the pressure can be maintained. This means our simple HPFP upgrade can safely provide the necessary fuel to max out the turbo/engine power on ethanol without adding any unnecessary complexities.
