Longtime 1999 Civic EX owner here, bought it new, still my daily 240k miles later. I'm only 3 minutes in... but the story of the car being sold and bought back is crazy, because my dad did the exact same thing! Big difference is the car my dad sold and bought back was a 1934 Ford pickup, and it was running when he owned it, and he bought it back in parts. Still in my garage, it's my dream car project...

I would recommend swapping an exterior door handles to sedan rear door handles. It will remove that key lock feature which could stop some people try to get into ur car by picking ur door lock. Since it's an ex model u can use ur key fob to lock/unlock. I did it and 3 weeks later, my brand new door handles were scratched up. So someone tried. Also kill switch or even jdi push start. gps tracker? Better safe than sorry.

i’ve seen people put 8th gen Si seats in EK, just need the brackets to do so. For suspension, i heard numerous guys recommend fortune autos if going track route. I got an EK also, excited for your upcoming content!

@@pancho8708 I mean if all other conditions stand, minimal rust, clean underbody, no crazy fixes needed. I would say that's fair. I bought mine for 3k at 160,000 miles but it has a dent in the rear right quarter panel

@@nmanglallan the one I found is an ex. Does that matter? Car is nice. It’s black. Has tint and Koenig rims. Looks like stock exhaust. Looks like newer headlights and taillights si ones. Says clean blue title

@@pancho8708 the only difference between the ex and si is the ex has a d16y8 and a si has a b16. D series is a single cam vtec motor and the B series is a dual cam vtec motor. Nowadays, the more fair market is in d series civics, b series are all overpriced nowadays so you're good!

Better put a fuel cut off and battery cut off to prevent that shit from getting stolen and throw an AirTag and oh for bushings hard race is the only aftermarket worth buying and they have a master kit.

K24Z7.! Ima do that soon. Try to find some 15 SI red seats for a deal. Replace the window trim and speakers at the same time. When you pull up on the window trim the clips will break and fall down the door.

For the interior, I've seen people put crv rear seats in the ek, it does look good and front seats, you can go for the del sol seats, imo, they are really comfortable
